Is this the national museum?

I was just there this past summer. They had some cool shit including locally made cannon from BEFORE the Spanish, which I thought was pretty cool. They didn't have the wheel but they had cannons

...

Theyre canonettes used for static positions

Specimens of wildlife in Mindanao

Yeah swivel guns

I have some photos somewhere, if this thread is still around I'll post some. Here's an excerpt from Baranguay by William Henry Scott, which is fabulous. Pretty sure it's sold at some gift shops and shit, I got it at the big palace where they held Rizal (I forget the name)

I have many pics yet to post.

When I touch something that old I always wonder who has touched before. Was lucky enough to have touched something that was last touched by a man in 3BCE

hang on, are you in the British Museum?!

en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Diego_(ship)

the details are here, the ones on the museum are short and condensed

Gracias for bump

No

I touched this piece from 16th century Mindanao

Used in mosques

Full anthro experience

Weapons used to BTFO the Spanish, other tribes, other cheiftains, .380 ACP and Christians

People who uses them

Remember kids, pig material works for them not .38 ACP

Moro chainmail

Two handed swords

Anyone could why did they use such large weapons?have it's larger than my arm

Spooky

Their cannons

Shame the Phillipines hadn't Sinicized instead of Indianized, I think that would have helped them centralize more which would have helped them repel invaders.

That's what happened in southern Mindanao with the Moros to a certain degree

Prayer room in mindanao, something like a chapel of sorts

I have more spooky shit /x/traterrestrials will be wewuzzing and the Spaniards be calling it demonic again

...

What's the translation

Kek I remember this sword

Keep posting man, I'll see if I took a picture of anything interesting

...

Do you have pics of the Spoliarium? I deleted mine,

Kek it turns out all my pictures are from that wing

...

NATO

most of the pics from that part have my face innit

I did remember to take a picture of this cannon though, I was impressed by the crude breech loading device (I used to shoot historical cannons therefore my interest)

Did you take any pictures form the pre-history section? I might not remember right but there were basically stick figures where the head had a dot in the middle. It reminded me of very early Greek art

This is the only other thing I took a picture of because it's pretty funny

Are you Filipino or visiting? The only other historical thing I did was Corregidor Island which is 100% worth it if you get the chance

I am a Filipino, went there already last year, was fun

I visited a museum in Taguig but its mostly ww2 materials. Sadly, no pics was taken. My phone was shit back then
