How did they manage to completely wash Hitlerism from the German people?

What seems to have been one of the greatest eras of German history. The people seemed happy, they were united and major cultural revival was taking place. Call if brainwashing if you'd like but the point still stands.

How was it all so cleanly scrubbed from the German mind?
>youtube.com/watch?v=XDMRd311xIo

Even the Japanese had spontanious resurgence and calls for a return, Bushido culture survived for some time in Japan. But nothing of the Hitler era culture survived in Germany.

How did they do it?

"No"

I added the brainwashing part for people like you.

Jesus Christ I hate Nazi LARPers so fucking much

I added the "for some time" for people like you.

Haven't been to Veeky Forums for time, I guess this is where all the mental midgets congregates now.

Why don't you go back to where you came from

>. But nothing of the Hitler era culture survived in Germany.

But it did? What do you think neo-nazi's are?

>people like you.
People who call you out on your bullshit, neo-nazi?
Neck yourself.

>be German
>be thinking yoursel super human
>all the cities are bombed
>most of the men are dead
>most women raped
>Ohh my god why don't they miss it? Because people remember how shit ends not only how it starts

>The people seemed happy, they were united and major cultural revival was taking place.

Yeah until we bombed the fuck out of them. Pic related, the inevitable result of Nazism.

must suck to not be able to discuss segments of history you don't agree with.
>neo-nazis
>anything to do with the sort of people in the video or OP pic

they didn't and it wasn't?

Must suck to have your historical interest be exclusive to "DA NAZIS WERE GREAT BASED NAZIS"
Fucking kill yourself. Those millions of "happy" Germans died because of Nazism.

It's funny cause if I were to post this exact same thread on /pol/; which I guess all you nerds hate, I would probably get all sort of discussion going. People would point to documents, documentaries, the banning of parties and destruction of Nazi buildings, they would point to the ideas that the nazi ideology was not that ingrained in German society etc. They would go back and fourth.

But holy fuck this place seems like an mirage of intellect.

What the fuck is the thing with you people today?

You have so many threads to shitpost in, why start another one?

>Must suck to have your historical interest be exclusive
No need to project, you know nothing about me. Weird how you people can get so triggered by a picture and music video.

still waiting for ONE decent reply btw

Go back

>that camera flash just as his face smashes against the shoulder

>What seems to have been one of the greatest eras of German history
About 10% of all Germans died in WWII, an entire generation of young men gone. Basically all of Germany was destroyed. By the end of the war the extent of Nazi atrocities against Jews, Roma, Slavs, etc was revealed and anyone with any human decency at all was absolutely revolted by it. Even famous antisemites like Henry Ford saw the Holocaust for the evil that it was. Additionally, the occupying allies made it overwhelmingly clear that there would be no room for Nazi resurgence in Germany.

Why would the German people want to revive it? All it brought was death, destruction, misery, and the worst human rights abuses ever committed by man.

>The people seemed happy, they were united and major cultural revival was taking place.
The people were happy when the opinions of Jews and those who opposed Nazism weren't counted. There was no cultural revival under Nazism, it was autistic sperging about "muh ancient Germania" while banning all sorts of types of art, music, etc. Nazism had no respect for culture.

It was never scrubbed from the "German mind". There wasn't even complete denazification. Sympathizers and high officials continued in the same offices that the held before or during the war, and the national-socialist regime was replaced by a mostly conservative one.

There was even a book out there - the bible for mothers raising their children at the time - that went back into circulation after being stripped of all references to nazi rhethoric. The contents were still the same though, and thousands upon thousands of children were raised according to NSDAP ideals up until the 60s.

Spot on analysis.

DO
IT
AGAIN

>There was even a book out there
sauce on it?

But was there no assassinations or plots like those in Japan with Mishima or the murder of the politician? Seems to have been little romanticism of the Hitler era by any intellectuals.

Because the (((Democratic))) west completely obliterated German culture, wiped out the right, and inoculated a white guilt at a whole other scale on the German people, it in a manner that never happened in Japan.

There is something ironic that East Germany actually did more to maintain it then did the west.

>Why would the German people want to revive it? All it brought was death, destruction, misery, and the worst human rights abuses ever committed by man.
None of which happened before the war. The Hitler era wasn't just the war you know

also fix the captcha you dumb gookmoot cunt

>that spacing

Go back to plebbit

>sauce on it?
„Die deutsche Mutter und ihr erstes Kind“ and other books by Johanna Haarer.
>But was there no assassinations or plots like those in Japan with Mishima or the murder of the politician? Seems to have been little romanticism of the Hitler era by any intellectuals.
Keep in mind that Germany was bombed flat and much of its population killed off. The nazis had plans for a suicidal last line of defense (Volkssturm, Werwölfe), but the general public realized how shitty the ideology and the suffering it brought on were, way before the end of the war.
Japan never fought on its home turf and "only" suffered two nuclear bombs. War veterans actually survived on pacific islands and kept fighting for decades. Japan wasn't split up among four different victorious nations. It didn't get the degree of denazification that Germany got.

You too!

TENNO HEIKA BANZAI

>((()))
Faggot

>Die deutsche Mutter und ihr erstes Kind
Thanks.

Is there a case to made that the Allies allowed Japan to remain somewhat as it were in order to have a decently strong ally in the pacific against the Soviets and perhaps China too?

They imposed the holohoax meme onto them

>What seems to have been one of the greatest eras of German history.
Hahahaha, good one OP

>they were united
If by "united" you mean they killed anyone who didn't align with their views, including their own people.

>major cultural revival
That's not an inherently good thing.

>The Hitler era wasn't just the war you know
But the Hitler era brought war. Hell, most of it was building up to the war.

>that image
Looks like shit to me. Exactly like some Maoist peasant propaganda, just among Germans. "one of the greatest eras of German history"? Doesn't look like it. Looks like one of those obnoxious sports rallies in a US high school, with mindless chanting and group emotion.

t. friendless loser

Nah, it's always been easy for me to make friends. Even back in high school I had friends. I just always hated the meme rallies and cow-like group behavior. Shit, I even like sports. I just hate the whole mass hysteria style of politics.

>Nah, it's always been easy for me to make friends.
Sounds like something a friendless loser would say

They knew the danger of the eternal G*man

Whatever makes ya feel better, mate. But my advice is, if you ever see your country experience the whole mass populist shit, grab what you can and get the fuck out of there. Cause what usually happens in these situations is that scum rises and force becomes the only law.

>The people seemed happy
they were forced into a total war that ended in total destruction, starvation and mass rapes and left their houses and lives in ruins

>a major cultural revival was taking place
it was a reversion to complete barbarism that forever ruined the reputation of Germany as the land of poets and thinkers. the greatest works of german literature were being burnt on the streets, statues of composers smashed. hundreds of years of jewish culture in central europe utterly destroyed, along with the German settlements and cities all over eastern europe.

>How was it all so cleanly scrubbed from the German mind?
there was an active process of denazification after WW2 though former nazis remained in positions of power until the late 60s because the occupying powers thought they were needed to aid in the fight against communism. only the student movement of 1968 and the resulting cultural shifts really led to an honest appraisal of the past and the complete rejection of nazi thought in the next generation of germans.

>Even the Japanese had spontanious resurgence and calls for a return, Bushido culture survived for some time in Japan
post-war japan had a lot more continuity in government than germany (post war PM Kishi Nobusuke was a class A war criminal and the current PM Abe is his grandson) and less of a protest movement from the next generation.
Also, Bushido is not the same as japanese fascism, it was around long before even though it was ideologized for war purposes (and was in fact already a romanticized ideologized image of the past in the Edo period). The emperor-worship culture of WW2 on the other hand was pretty much eradicated and younger Japanese people today are quite indifferent toward the royal family.
