Single Intelligent Thread

Hello.

This thread is about the past and the future. I will provide some comfortable listexing music for your enjoyment as you read.

Now that that's settled, I have to make myself some tea. It appears I have a full tea pot I prepared earlier but neglected to imbibe. I will microwave it. Now, I'm all set to begin.

So, in the world today, it almost seems like we are watching a rerun of recent history. Like the bursting of a dam, suddenly Nazis and Communists and the Red Scare has returned. People tend to think in patterns, and it's a good shortcut. It can be very useful in such things as word jumbles, when you can recognize the patterns words follow, such as T and H going together frequently. But not all words follow these ways. That is where you will fall into the pitfall of patterns. A true detective can see beyond the patterns to uncover the truth. You aren't truly using deductions when you follow patterns, you are just forcing the information into the pre-made holes you have formed in your mind through experience, and sometimes they fit and sometimes they don't. For example, can you unscramble this word:

icnoxbhahaaarp

The only hint I will give is that I know exactly what you are going to do, and have already prevented your ability to do so. :) Good Luck.

Now anyway, why tell you all this? Because I have another riddle. We are repeating history right now, but not the recent past of 1900 or so to now, people just believe we are because it fits into the patterns they can recognize, being more familiar with the most recent history. However, if you take a broad view of the events of the last twenty years, you will see what cycle we are going through. After all, history tends to compress timelines. What is one sentence in a history book is a generation. It takes time for the truth to become clear, you cannot simply look upon one day, or one year even. So my question to you is:

What part of history are we repeating?

what's the matter, can't work it out?

What did OP mean by this?

Not my fault you guys lack the detective skills I possess.

Autism is not a detective skill.

Chinks X BRAAAP
It's chinese fart porn

>adding an S

i hate this place

Solve my riddle if you wish to obtain clout in your opinion of detective skills. But you can't. It's not that you are actually unable to, but there exists a block on your mind that will prevent you from even trying in the first place.

Just watch.

Nice anime image, can tell this post is autistic without even reading all of it

>Judging a book by it's cover

Precisely the pitfalls of patterns I proffered.

The end of the Cretaceous?

But that's wrong. You might be correct in thinking that you're clever the way a calculator is, but not much more, because you're clearly pretentious, unsocialised, and in the end possibly schizophrenic

t. Armchair psychologist

Unscrambling a 'word' is not a measure of intelligence, as it requires knowledge of words. Detecting patterns and solving mathematics equations is a measure of intelligence, because there is always a logical conclusion. E.g. Samuel is very intelligent, and can always pick which pattern comes next in the sequence, but he hasn't learned the word 'paloverde' yet, so there is no reason that he would unscramble the letters lpaoreved to form the word paleverde.

>pretentious, unsocialised and possibly shizophrenic people can't be smarter than I

pitfalls of patterns, mister, pitfalls of patterns. Use your mind to shape your diagnoses to fit the situation, don't just try jam any thesis into your argument.

no

Well, would you give me a measure of intelligence that does not require knowledge, then?

Personally, your argument is of mild interest, but I see right through it. I wouldn't be seeing this justification if you were able to solve my word scramble, you are merely trying to protect your psyche from the notion you might not be capable of solving it, but the deepest irony is you didn't even try.

Diagnosis is; extremely arrogant (possibly frrom crushingly bad self esteem)
Not nearly that clever. (most arnt, it's a way of compensating for bad self esteem)
Anime fan with difficulty realising what said media makes you look like; unable to tell that it's seen as bad bc a lot of anime watchers are in fact 'bad people'

I just fucking told you how you can measure raw intelligence
Read the post again

You need knowledge of math and of numbers and of language to solve mathematics mister. And patterns aren't truly intelligence, at least not a very noteworthy one. Animals can identify patterns and memorize.

Ah, the pitfalls of patterns. Now you are using your previous experiences with fans of anime to slot me into a framework you can understand. You are trying to frame new pieces of information into your old paradigms, rather than building new ones.

But even if your diagnoses about my arrogance and cleverness are correct, what difference does it make? And need I point out if I wasn't very clever, then my riddles would already be solved?

No you don't. Mathematics is just a logical translation of the world around us into something we can comprehend and use to survive.

Very well, I'd like you go to test your theory by presenting mathematical problems to a child who is as yet unaware of them. Might have to do it a few times though, to account for the children who naturally aren't as keen.

Ok, retard, numbers as we know them are just a language we use to discuss mathematical concepts. A child who has never taken a mathematics class will not know what '2' represents, but he will know that if he has two feet, he needs to wear two shoes. Intelligence is intuitive. At school he will learn the language and the names humans have created for 'two shoes' or 'three apples'.

The natural principles of science are built on the principle of patterns, actions and reactions.

You think you're above this process completely, and that's why it's funny

What a rather rude way of capitulating. Though, I must admit, I don't like being wrong as much as the next guy, but I combat this by trying not to say incorrect things as much as possible. It was you who said that mathematics doesn't require knowledge. But it's okay to be wrong when it does happen it's not something you need be terrified of.

But can you use the principles of science to unscramble my word?

I'm not going to expend energy on something I don't find stimulating

Of course not. You are following the pattern flawlessly. I hope someday you find it within you to break free.

It's difficult to argue with pseudointellectuals because you always resort to the ad hominem fallacy when your brains can no longer follow the logic of the discussion.

You're wasting your time arguing with me, I agree, it'd be time better spent on answering the question and I'd respect you more for it anyway, because the route you are on doesn't have that in store for you.

I'm posting in this thread to get respect from you?

Are you? Aren't you? What do you think? You are the poster, after all.

I don't think so. I'm posting for recreation.

Then there you are.

This has been a waste of time. I'm finding another thread.

A disappointing, but expected result.

Nobody will ever care.

That's okay.
