based knights removed pagan

Except when they removed catholics as well.

They were G*rmans

They were Czechs

this

Papists are pagans yes.

is there a time in history when germans are NOT the bad guys?

Right now, inshallah.

Are you retarded?

Do you pray to a woman?

That's nice, but protestant faggots literally allow women to be bishops and priests.

(you)

You do realise the Teutonic Knights were Catholics too, right?

A corrupt and idolatrous theology is worse than a liberal ecclesiology.

They became Lutheran.

WE PENTECOST NOW PRAISE JESUS CHRIST AND STEVEN ANDERSON HIS PROPHET

It was a great movie desu

The Czech made an entire trilogy about the Hussite wars that I've been wanting to watch for a while now.
Poles also have their trilogy but about the Commonwealth wars in the 17th century.

>They became Lutheran
No. Some Grandmaster did.

The Order still exists as a Catholic institution in Vienna.

>The Czech made an entire trilogy about the Hussite wars
Don't bother, it's Bolshevik propaganda.

S-sauce?

/christian/, most likely

should i pull up the pope on his hands and knees kissing some migrant's feet

I keep hearing this because I'm guessing it shows the Church being corrupt and hypocritical but the Clergy has been an aceptable target in cinema everywhere since forever.
Nothing new to me I know that old historical movies of the eastern block are awesome but each had to include at least some propaganda even if the director didn't want it. Reminds me of another set of three movies (unofficial trilogy but some actors repeat their roles) about Polish II Republic. Great movies but has the gratuitous commie march. Of course you could say they just reflect the time period because socialism had an actual support back then but they still drag.

It's not just criticizing the church but putting extreme emphasis on the egalitarian and "socialist" nature of Hussites.

These guys come to you telling to stop hiding in the woods like a pussy and bring these swords to Polish king if he doesn't have anything to fight with. What do you do?

Most of it

Land-grabbing was a natural mechanism to perpetuate the system in a pre-capitalist, pre-mercantilist society.

World war 2

dirty pagans mostly

They carved their own state out of hostile territory and turned it into one of the most modern and well-organised states in Europe at the time.

greedy fucks, they tried to pull that shit here too but they were expelled

Altough I don't believe in racial superiority of anyone, I always got annoyed by Slavs playing Germans in historical productions, and vice versa. Slavs and Germanics are distinguishable.

>Slavs and Germanics are distinguishable.
You don't know what you're talking about.

In fact, Slavic actors look even more viking than actual Germanics.

Czech in the middle, Germanics on right and left. They look like boys, compared to mighty Czech warrior.

Source?

>Slavs and Germanics are distinguishable.
West Slavs and Germanics look basically the same, except some Poles who have been russified.

The German desire to conquer foreign lands, expel the inhabitants, and colonize the land with German settlers is a tradition entrenched in German history, dating as far back as antiquity (although probably earlier).

>Ariovistus made the decision to clear out the Sequani from the strategic Doubs valley and re-populate it with Germanic settlers.
>In the wake of victory, and to the dismay of his 'allies', Ariovistus stayed in Gaul. According to Caesar, he seized a third of the Sequani territory and proceeded to settle 120,000 Germani there as the nucleus of a new Germanic kingdom.

>except some Poles who have been russified.
You mean "Western" "Poles? They came from Eastern territories of Poland, they were basically polonised Ruthenians, Balts and Belarusians.

Greedy subhumans. Lithuanians baptized themselves and they still didn't lay off. They used religion as a pretense to plunder and raid they were barbarians in shining armor. But in the end they got what's coming to them. A beautiful BTFO by Vytautas.

Královec is our clay, gib back

In the end they were flawed heroes, but heroes nonetheless.
also kys papist
>Lutheran while militarily strong
>become Catholic nominally to fight the pagans from the inside

Literally Raubritter masquerading as a monastic order.

Possibly.

>Lutheran while militarily strong
Grand master became Lutheran after Teutonics were obliterated for the third time by Poland

Heroes lol....yeah they built some cities for the Latvians and got BTFO. That's the history of the teutonic order

>no source
thought so
>grandmaster represents the whole entire order of everyone who was ever a tuetonic knight
nice try
>got btfo

These are commonly accepted events you dumb twat
First time - Poles destroy Teutonics at Grunwald in 1410
Second time - Poles destroy Teutonics in thirteen years war in 1466
Third time Poles destroy Teutonics in reiterkrieg in 1521

Way to take all the credit Wyczczeslzvowsky

Lithuanians destroy Teutonics at Zalgiris in 1410*

More like got destroyed and fled.

boxer rebellion

More like did a tactical retreat and because dumb cavemen troll tier poles only strategy is I VYZCZLESLOVSKI. ME SMASH! They stayed. We came back to surprise and outflank them you subhuman. We should've let Jogaila the traitor dog die that day.

>Lithuanians destroy Teutonics
Funny way to say "Fled in the first phase of engagement"
The burden of whole battle had fallen on Polish knighthood

Are you legitimately autistic? You are that anime-spamming Lithuanian aren't you?

Lithuanian autism, active since XIXth century

refer to previous post, stupid. Without our tactical retreat the battle would have been lost, but cavemen p*les can't comprehend that.

>P*les actually believe this

Jesus Christ, i really want to see how a Polish history class looks like lmfao

Way to destroy a thread with your /int/-tier larping.

Eeh polonization of Lithuanian nobles wasn't their decision it just happened on its own. Same for Ruthenians. Borders between the nation weren't so clear, which now cause a lot of identity problems. Belarusians for example keep looking for some manuscript that would prove that Mickiewicz wrote in Belarusian.

>Witold chimps out after seeing Teutonic infantry, like a monkey over banana
>Charges like a dumbfuck with his whole Ruthenian-Tatar-Lithuanian corps.
>Poles have to fight main Teutonic forces, to prevent encirclement and annihilation of Lithuanians.
>With main forces keeping Poles busy, grand master sends his elite heavy cavalry to btfo Lithuanians on right flank
>Suprise, he does. Lithuanians run like sheep
>Lithuanian retreat causes a crisis, Poles have to fight off Teutonic elite that got through right flank.
>Poles hold their ground, reorganise, recapture their royal banner. The reserves of Polish heavy cavalry break the Teutonic corps, while the light cav strikes exposed flanks
>Lithuanians that stopped retreating after realising that battle turned in their favour turn back and join Poles in capturing Teutonic camp.
Truly, Jebasvdupas, your ancestors were heroes of the day

>Jebasvdupas

I love jihad

see

Greatest fairytale i've ever heard....Saving poles is a thankless job.

Better than being headed by men who fuck little boys

Oh, please, tell me your realistic battle relation where Lithuanians either rise from the dead or teleport to Teutonic rear, whispering to Jungingen's ear "heh, nothing personal, kid" before launching a final blow on heavy Teutonic elite with their light armoued cav.

>What the fuck was their problem?
Pagans.

When the Lithuanian army began their offensive, the Germans used most of their forces to fight the Lithuanians - about twenty-four flags met Lithuanians in the left wing and only 12 were left on the right wing in front of the Poles. The Lithuanian light cavalry struck the positions of the Teutonic Artillery with a sudden attack. After about an hour, the Lithuanians who suffered heavy losses began to retreat, only 3 Smolensk flags, led by Jagaila's brother Lengvenis Algirdaitis, stayed behind the Poles who were involved in the battle.

According to the scientist professor Sven Ekdalis, written sources testify that the retreat of Lithuanians was a planned maneuver by Vytautas before the battle, which scattered the Teutonic troops that chased the Lithuanians

When the Lithuanian army began their offensive, the Germans used most of their forces to fight the Lithuanians - about twenty-four flags met Lithuanians in the left wing and only 12 were left on the right wing in front of the Poles.
Vyatutas attacked on his own hand, before Poles could start their advance, so grand master quickly sent his forces to deal with them. After defeating them, some of these banners joined in fight against the Poles, and grand master personally led 16 banners from the rear to also join the engagement. The original 12 banners on right flank, 6 banners from right flank that defeated Lithuanians, and 16 banners from the rear gives together number of 34 banners, much more than the 24 (including 6 that joined main forces to fight Poles) banners that larger Llithuanian forces had to deal with.
>According to the scientist professor Sven Ekdalis, written sources testify that the retreat of Lithuanians was a planned maneuver by Vytautas before the battle, which scattered the Teutonic troops that chased the Lithuanians
His written source is a letter to grand master warning him that Polish army and Lithuanian/Ruthenian/Tatar corps might use such manouver. Lithuanian retreat wasn't as organised as it should be in such strategy, and came back too late to make a difference in descive stages of main battle.

Slavic Heathens

Poland was baptised in 966AD

They mostly fought against Christians to dominate the region.

He's a prod, of course he is

>american education

Football played they better than you.

Český fašismus - Milan Nakonečný

The Lithuanians could planned this maneuver but they failed in doing it.
>auxiliary Smolensk banners stay and fight hard
>Tatars run first and Lithuanians follow
>thing is some did not stop until they reach home
The best thing that they do was convincing Teutonics that they win so they concentrate on pursuing and taking plunder and did not come back to battlefield in order until it was to late

Nice.

They try to do successfully(this time) repeat what they try to did in Hungary before - aka steal clay and form their won country.
In the end they betray Poland who officially was their suzeren and steal their clay.
They also failed at Christianizing Lithuanians.
In the end get BTFO on battlefield by Poles and his allies.
Then their own subjects rebelled and end them. Sadly Poles do not vanquish them.
