Are routines just optimized ways to get in and out if the gym with the most gains in least amount of time?
I injured my back and can only do machines, luckily my gym has lots of machines for anything you can imagine. Can I make the same gains just doing every machine 3x8 except main lift imitations like leg press, bench, and ohp 5x5?
It takes longer, about 2 hours, but I definitely feel sore the next day and feel the pump. If I do this every machine every other day, raising the weights 5lbs per workout can I still make good gains equal to free weights?
