6'7" (199cm) reporting in. I used to be skinnyfat. Fucked around in the gym for a year, then last year, in September, I started taking it more seriously.

Read up on CICO, 1g protein per 1lb of body weight, etc, all that basic stuff. Went into a bulk (probably a mistake, looking back, but I just wanted to get strong), and gained about 10 kilos by Christmas. I've been slowly losing that weight since then (down to 94kg from 110), as well as slowly gaining strength (i.e. a very modest cut, somewhere around a 200cal deficit).

What bodyfat would you guys estimate for before/after? I think I'm at about 12% now but it's hard to tell.

Yeah I'd say so, I've never seen convincing evidence that going much above that really helps. Wouldn't hurt to do so if you find it works better for you though.
