Austro-Hungarian army in WW1

>Austro-Hungarian army in WW1

>Italian army in WW1

>Japanese Army in WW2

>Italian army in WW2

>Every army in WW1 minus the Germans

>Austro-Hungarian army in WW2

>get a million of your own countrymen killed because of "muh cult of the offensive"
Joffre and all French general staff should've been guillotined after the war

Not even Germans, early on. Victory in East Prussia was literally luck and Russian incompetence.

>be Russian General
>Facing one German Army
>Have your fully intact army plus another Russian Army
>Get encircled and completely destroyed despite having literally twice the manpower because of your utter hatred of your allied general

It wasn't even that. Germans (by accident, partly) encircled them, their supply system broke down previously, and most just surrendered.

>Finnish army in Hyperwar

Russian communications were also shit. IIRC the Jerries actually managed to steal a Russian message about their attack on Tannenberg. It wasn't even encoded, the Germans literally had trouble believing at first whether this was real or not or the Russians were fucking with them.

>Finnish army in the Winter War

Actually was very victorious and achieved all desired goals.

>Italians confirmed for having been double agents and going for the long con, paying for it with the lives of their enemies, allies and their own citizens
:thinken:
The diplomatic genius is second only to their military brilliance.

The Communications officers had managed to lose their coding notes in the baggage train and said: "Fuck it, they can't realistically intercept our messages anyway, rite?"

>Italian army

>The state of the Byzantine and Sassanid armies by the time of the Islamic Conquests

>implying that they weren't at their peak as a fighting force

So victorious and successful that they got their own fascist coup 10 years beforre Germany

In that case
>The Byzantine and Sassanid armies during the Islamic Conquests

>every single conflict involving arabs since 1922

>Italian army in Ethiopia

>Le Waste time in Holland man

Just imagine if Patton was allowed to push through Germany without this idiot being given command of the allied forces in the autumn of 1944.

Kek

>send their men off into the mountains with boots that have cardboard soles
>actual reports of soldiers being stolen away and eaten by wolves

...

the carpathian campaign was fucking brutal

None of these armies did badly, their shittiness has been drastically exaggerated.
This was a genuine embarrassment though.

*marches entire army into serbian artillery practice field*

I've read that a Russian officer had a copy of the plans on him when he was killed at Masurian Lakes and the Germans found it
