TL;DR

>Yugoslavia is a country with multiple different ethnicities and an all-powerful commie dictator
>once the dictator dies, the ethnicities begin fighting again
>Serbs take over Yugoslavian government
>nobody else wants to be in Yugoslavia
>Serbs are scared that if Yugoslav states with a Serb minority become independent, the Serbs will be slaughtered (this is what happened in Croatia in WW2)
>unfortunately, Serbia's only solution to this is to rape and murder their way through any place with a Serb minority that tries to leave Yugoslavia
>they do this to Croatia, Bosnia, and Kosovo
>Clinton eventually gets so tired of this shit that he has Serbia bombed for two months until they agree to cut this shit out
>Serbs eternally butthurt that they lost three wars (four if you count Slovenia) in less than a decade and got bombed by NATO

Too much to explain, not worth even talking about.

A better question is why Serbs and Croats started to slaughter each other during WW2? They have basically the same culture and religion and the memory of hating Austria-Hungary was still fresh. Was it German divide and conquer tactics?

tl;dr
>South Slav united, strong
>Slovenes get greedy
>MUH TAXES TOO DAMN HIGH
>Chimp out
>Croatia tries to do the same
>Serbia worried because Croats and Bosnians have brutlized Serbs in the past, and many Serbs live in the Croatian and Bosnian republic
>Serbs then go to protect Serbs from another onslaught
>War breaks out
>Russia to weak to help Slavic, Orhtodox ally
>Serbs end up loosing
In a nutshell. At least they got Republika Srpska however which gives them some power in Bosnia.

Serbs and Croats were killing each other in WW1 too, by no means did it start in WW2. Pretty sure it started in the days of the Austro-Hungarian annexation of Bosnia. Maybe even before that too?

Balkan "people" are just a bunch of bloodthirsty subhumans so slaughter and mass rape is their typical behaviour.

>Turkish butthurt

There is an awesome documentary series on the balkan wars but I forgot its name. Its like 4 hours long and made by the BBC i think.

>There is an awesome documentary series on the balkan wars
Citation Needed
>but I forgot its name.
How convenient.

You're right until you start blaming just the Serbs. Every group committed crimes. The Serbs were even right, tons of Serbs in Krajina got killed or expelled

All u had to do was type "balkan war documentary bbc" on google m8.

Yugoslavia's downfall created a power vacuum for the different cultures and nations that made it up, causing a civil war

>awesome documentary series
>by the BBC

Is tito black?

>Every group committed crimes.
true, but that does not mitigate the blame for the war, which is solely serbian fault
>tons of Serbs in Krajina got killed or expelled
source to that? remember to count in their own retreat orders and fearmongering
>The Serbs were even right
according to whom? start stirring up trouble, get defeated, i fail to see the problem here

on the other hand, it is interesing how no one seems to blame "bosniaks" for anything, even though they
commited crimes and cleansing as well as importing thousands of islamic extremist thus remaking
bosnia in their own forged islamic image
current situation there just proves they should've been split, people should've been relocated to fix borders,
and both serbia and croatia could've been content

Well, the Serbs started the entire clusterfuck by invading Croatia.

The Croats also expelled a shitload of Serbs/Muslims, and the KLA is basically just a branch of the Albanian mob, but starting a war is a different kettle of fish than continuing one.

Judge for yourself.

t. serb

typical mindset of a "civilized" country that tries to fake their own history, or should i say present in some cases, by pointing at someone elses faults, conveniently forgetting to mention their own,
as if there exists a single nation that isn't populated by a bunch of "bloodthirsty subhumans"
have you perhaps thought of UK? Germany? France? Russia? to place all the problems of europe into balkan closet is sadly a popular practice nowadays,
instead of facing them, they are in such a way being accepted creating further animosities

Serbs were 581,663 (12.2%) in Croatia in 1991, in 2011 they were 186,633 (4.36).

(From Wikipedia) "In February 2015, during the Croatia–Serbia genocide case, the International Court of Justice (ICJ) dismissed the Serbian lawsuit claim that Operation Storm constituted genocide,[59] ruling that Croatia did not have the specific intent to exterminate the country's Serb minority, though it reaffirmed that serious crimes against Serb civilians had taken place.[59][60] The judgment stated that it is not disputed that a substantial part of the Serb population fled that region as a direct consequence of the military actions. The Croatian authorities were aware that the operation would provoke a mass exodus; they even to some extent predicated their military planning on such an exodus, which they considered not only probable, but desirable.[61] Fleeing civilians and people remaining in United Nations protected areas were subject to various forms of harassment, including military assaults and acts by Croatian civilians. On 8 August, a refugee column was shelled.[62]"

They were right to fear ethnic Serbs being expelled because it did happen.

>Serbs invade and the local serbs team up with the invaders
>they get expelled after the war
>WAGHHH

You realise Yugoslavia did the same thing to the Italians that did the same shit after WW2?

>yugoslavia is a federation of six republics (serbia, croatia, bosnia, etc.)
>some ethnically pure (like slovenia); some very much not (like bosnia, having muslims, orthodox serbs and catholic croats)
>serbs are in serbia, croatia and bosnia; croats in croatia and bosnia
>during tito's time nationalism is heavily suppressed, but after his death it quickly boils over

>a nationalist gets into power in serbia and tries to dominate the entire federation
>most other republics reject this and push for decentralization
>this shatters the unity of the communist party and leads to first open elections across the republics
>nationalist parties get into power almost everywhere

>soon enough, slovenia and croatia declare independence
>serbia now essentially controls the federal army
>no one cares about slovenia, so it just slips away
>croatia has a significant serb minority, so war erupts there
>the conflict gets frozen after a couple of months
>serbs and croats now both set their sights on bosnia, the main prize

>croats and muslims declare the independence of bosnia
>serbs respond by creating their own rebel state within bosnia
>war starts
>the federal army leaves the heavy arms to the rebel serbs and leaves the country
>rebels serbs proceed to occupy like two thirds of the country
>population is 'transferred around'. serbs, holding the most land, get most crimes on their hands

>by this point, the federation itself ceased to exist
>serbia itself is now involved only indirectly, supporting the rebels through paramilitary units and supplies

>about a year in, croats backstab the muslims
>they essentially made secret deals with the serbs to carve bosnia up before the war even started
>they create their own rebel state within bosnia and start expelling the muslims
>the poison shot santa that became a meme a couple of weeks ago was one of the main persons behind this
>the war now becomes a three-way conflict

Hope this covers your questions.

This is why I said "retreat orders", I did not mean it as a joke, their leadership literally issued evacuation plan, in order to consolidate gains in Bosnia,
and as a fact were indeed falsely spreading fear of impending mass retaliation to "speed things up", again, I say falsely because every available evidence shows that operation storm
was one of most brilliantly executed military operations, and in that I also count, unfortunately, crimes committed. Luckily, these crimes were very limited in regards
to the size of the whole operation. Those crimes WERE NOT orchestrated or encouraged by political and army figures in Croatia as was confirmed by the ICTY.

It is a completely different matter whether or not some of these civilians/militia had a reason to fear retaliation in regards to well knows crimes that they had committed.
Facts show that MOST Serbs who stayed were, indeed, not massacred and were left at peace, and that majority of those who committed those crimes were already trialed, and I hope
that those who think had escaped justice will eventualy be too, on both sides.

Pic is the document, you can just google Martic evacuation or something.
