Until you stop making linear progress. Then you're supposed to re-check to see if you're getting enough calories, meeting macros, sleeping right, drinking water, resting enough. Then you re-check your current program, then form. You try SS again. If you're not making any more linear progress after making sure everything else is in line, you should do other programs.

2Years, then 2 years of texas method, then you are finally ready for a split to work on aesthetics !ยบ

until you decide you'd rather look good

until you GO sane

:/ But I can't wait 5 years to get the body grills want

Until all the jews are dead.

/thread
Don't fall for the SS meme

As long as you can

If you want to look like rippletoe you do SS. Honestly I've never seen an aesthetic ss victim.

Until the meteor hits that kills the rest of your t-rex brethren

Until at least 1234. Doing 12 reps of one plate bench ain't gonna do jack shit for hypertrophy.
And you're supposed to work on heavy accessory lifts for the same reason, at least barbell curls and lying triceps extensions

So SS is a meme? What program do I run if I want aesthetics

studies show girl like back more than any other body part. so do tons of pushups cus they help ur back

Test e 500mg/wk

SS

its not a meme

no one is going to care if you have well defined muscles if your lift like a pussy. do SS until you can't progress from it.

Greyskull with pullups, dumbbell bench, and (optionally) rows.

Bro you absolutely NEED the strength base. Sure you'll look bad for about 4 years, but it's totally worth it ! You can also laugh at other better looking people who don't do legs or can's squat as much as you do ! Remember numbers on your squat or deadlift are MUCH more important than silly biceps or abs !
If you don't get a STRENGTH BASE first you'll hit an eternal plateau later on !

You'll look fine doing SS, just don't get fat.

What people don't understand is that SS is a strength program first. Size follows strength, looks follows size. You can't look good without the first two. Do SS until you are no longer getting linear gains, then switch to a different program. Took me about three months to stall in my squat.

do you want to know how i know you have sissy lifts?

I can't tell if this is satire or not

not op, but what program did you switch to after

until you cleanse the continent of all the jews

I don't have sissy lifts, I did SS and texas method. I am a power lifter. I take pride of my high numbers.
I look at twink ottermode guys training biceps and abs with their girlfriends and laugh, I could take their girls any day of the week but I'm commited to The Rack.

would you mind sharing a picture of your physique? i could use some inspiration for when i low bar squat this wednesday.

To add to this. Make sure you do Nofap, no porn and cold showers along SS for maximum gains and STRENGTH BASE.
Also pic related 2 years of SS, look at this guy, you know he can lift and isn't training for sissy aesthetics and feminine vanity, he is strong !

Can anyone rate my program? Thx

All this routine bullshit would stop if you fuckers just LOST SOME FUCKING BODYFAT.

If you fucking want to look good then do some weights for 2 years , it doesn't matter what you do, just hit the fucking gym 5 times a week for 2 years and then CUT. And i mean CUT. Do intermittent fasting, do complete fasting, take DNP i don't give a shit. As soon as you lose bodyfat you WILL look ripped and all the normies will applaud you.

There isn't a magical routine for every situation. Will SS make me a better swimmer? NO. Decide what you want in fitness. If you just want to look good then do the above. And if you want it to take you less than 2 years of consistent work then take roids, everyone does and nobody cares about it.

>retarded shit
Your program sucks. If you remove the last two exercises from each day it will still suck, but it will suck less.

I did SS for 5 months before moving on to TM (did that for like a year and a half before switching to Candito 6 week).

I had phenomenal results with both programs in both aesthetics and strength. I think the time is going to vary for everybody. Just switch when you plateau a few times.

Don't kid yourself.
Only guys care about traps and lats.
Girls want big arms to hold them down and abs to stare at while they're getting plowed..

Why does it suck? I'm still doing 3x5's and 5x5's of the compound lifts so it's just as good as SS, as well as 3x8-12's for aesthetics.

Until you can't make linear progression anymore, this is when you switch to an intermediate program. This will be roughly 6-9 months and your lights should be roughly 4/3/2/1 for reps, but it varies a lot from individual to individual.

You just took the most basic ppl program you found on Reddit and pasted it here where no one else actually lifts

Delete win32 and never come back

it's a great starting point though, it builds up a good canvas that you can start to cut and chisel into something aesthetic once you're seasoned

What's 1234?
What's 4/3/2/1?

I stop making linear progress at like a 105 lb overhead press, 150 lb bench, 250 lb deadlift, and 175 lb squat (always my worst lift, I think I go too low or relax at the bottom or something).

I never know if it's just an "eat more" thing. I hate eating more because it's expensive and I feel like it all goes to fat.

Well I am like a 140 lb manlet so technically all those lifts are entering "intermediate" territory except for the squat.

No one is responding to this but I agree 100%.

A "strength based" body built with ss or similar program looks great with 10-12% bodyfat. You fat fucking wannabe powerlifters who only care about numbers look like shit. Alternatively, most curlbros are out of proportion and also look like shit.
Train to make your body stronger while maintaining low bodyfat. You will get aesthetics and in the long run, better health as well.

it is
The sticky is stikied for a reason.
Noob gains are easy, so you build a great strength base too while doing it.

It doesn't have to be SS; SL, GSLP and Reg Parks are great too, but SS is usually preferred, has lots of resources, a big community and a great book.

The dillemam of strength vs hypertrophy (of course they are still correlated) comes once you stop making linear strength gains.

Pretty much this. Any one who knows shit about mass building knows you need to keep getting stronger.

Don't do it unless you want to look like shit

Linear progression has completely stopped for me on bench press, squats, and deadlifts. I've been doing a brosplit so far, and so is there any point in me doing SS if I'm out of noob gains? Should I just go for an intermediate program like PHAT now? Or are there still gains in me doing SS

Ideally 4 months

let's say you start at a 40kgx5 squat, adding 2kg every session for 6 months.
if you do the program flawlessly, that would mean a squat higher than 180kgx5 at the end of the 6th month (2kg x 3 sessions x 4 weeks x 6 months + 40). lmao4plate FOR REPS. It's impossible, even if you count two deloads it would be way higher than 3plate for reps.
Most people who do SS for more than 6 months: 1) missed a bunch of workouts; 2) deloaded a dozen of times; 3) didn't even reach 3 plate for reps (most people get stuck at 2.5); 4) pussied out of progressing and repeated the load several times; 5) essentially they didn't do the program, they fucked around.

My advice is to go 100% effort on it for 4 months, you should add between 20-25kg to your squat each month. Eat accordingly, sleep accordingly, and be done with it, move to something else, don't get stuck on this highly demanding routine.

There is no limit you can do it as long as you want, it's not like you are going to be arested after a certain time.
I really like this programm so I do it for 4,5 years now.

>Not buying Starting Strength 6th edition and doing the Advanced 2nd stage modified microloading phase for 14 months and subscribing to the Wichita Falls Weekly and hiring a milkman to deliver you milk everyday
YNDTP

>I do it for 4,5 years now.

Rippfags so embarassed by their messiah that they stoop to pretending a bodybuilder who easily out lifted him while not even powerlifting is him.

real rippotoe

I really don't know, try SS and see if you're progressing, It's much more suited for this

Google is your friend summerbitch.
