It's the patch of one of the specop units that houses the majority of the Psychological Operations units(formerly), which is now known as MISO (military information support operations).
They are literally just a support group, with very little to do with SF or Rangers.

Maintenance/Technical team, we would deploy with a unit, go to every fob that unit has personal at and repair as many mc-items as we could. 4 man team made up of mechanic, technician, comms, and engineer. I was the technician.
Average day was
Fly out on blackhawk to herat, get picked up by convoy, get delivered to fob, spend three days working on equipment, get convoyed back get sent to Kandahar, pick up new equipment, new convoy, repeat, repeat.
I spent I think one month at bagram afb for the entire year I was in afghanistan, the rest of it was just none stop traveling.
