Water fasting

Has anyone here tried water fasting? I'll be on day 3 tomorrow and it's honestly not as hard as I thought it would be. I'm aiming for 5-7 days. Is it a good or bad idea?

Why would you? What is the point?

Detox and also a tiny bit of weight loss. I understand the risk of losing muscle but I plan on going back to the gym after this is over. I've taken a break from working out and I've gained a bit of weight. So I thought it would be a good idea to fresh start.

That's the dumbest shit I've ever heard. The only reason you'd "water fast" is if you're an athlete who has to make weight for your weigh-ins.

Have you researched it?

Going without water would be the opposite of "detox", you need the water so you can piss so you can actually detox
Detox shit like that is a myth
This is retarded

The point of a water fast is to only drink water and not to eat for a few days. I think you don't really know what I'm talking about.

I'm pretty sure OP meant a fast in which he only consumes water.

>Detox

lol

>Detox

Oh yeah, misinterpreted it
Still retarded, you don't need to detox like that, just start eating healthier

Does not do anything except fuck your body up.

"Detoxing" is something your body does naturally whether your eating or not. The only way to make it do that better is to EAT healthier.

You're body needs energy to carry out biological processes, like removing toxins. Eat some fucking veggies.

Depleting your organs and muscles of stores of energy (glycogen etc.) isn't going to be great for your workout. Water fast is fine for a few days if you need to drop fast, but even in the starvation studies they did on the holocaust they at least ate something every day.

Maybe one more day of water fast if you really feel you must, then 3-4 days refeeding, aka eating at mainentance.

>detox

Honestly, where do you read this garbage?

Thanks

For you user? I think 7 days without water is just what the doctor ordered. Personally, I think you should really commit to it and go for 14 days.

>detox

>detox

so do people think that their livers and kidneys are dead weight or something?

if anything it should be the opposite: you should drink a shitton of water for like 3 days to flush all the sodium in you

try getting an education instead,
i think you'll learn enough about dieting and nutrition to do something that isn't fucking retarded like this in the first place

>detox

Thanks for making that the very first word so I don't need to read the rest of that wild ride!

>detox
bro do you not have kidneys?

why cant you just eat 500 cal below TDEE cancerous fuck
