Carbs have a place in your diet whether you're cutting, bulking or at maintenance. The problems come when you consider white bread, sugar and other shit tier foods as carbs instead of sweet potatoes, veggies and oats.

What reason is there to cut carbs?

This was my macro split from yesterday, and i try to keep it similar ratio.

41g fat (4g saturated)
212g carb
185g protein

Sometimes i eat more fat and less carbs just depends on what the food contains, i just aim for enough protein.

Depends how quickly you want to lose weight and how much you care about performance & LBM loss.

The only macro you absolutely 100% need to have is protein if you want to lose weight successfully and not atrophy into oblivion. BUT lifting will suck dick without carbs. You can remedy this a little bit by carbing up before your hardest sessions.

With carbs > slower cut (because obviously you're eating more calories), better training, more LBM maintained
Without carbs > faster cut, training worse, more LBM lost

This is assuming you keep fat the same either way.
