Tfw i have to go to the gym alone today

>tfw i have to go to the gym alone today
kill me now

I've been going to and from alone for last 7 years

Kys

I'm so nervous though. How do you do it?

The same you do normally, just with less talking.

Lonewolf workouts are the best. It's just you and the weights, really a spiritual moment 2bh if you get my taking imho

Maybe I just have high standards about public appearance, but I feel like I would look like an awkward faggot just standing around in between sets.
Never thought of it like that.

>have to
I prefer to be alone at the gym

>going to the gym in the middle of the night
>always alone, never any people
>always listen to dark ambient music
>that eerie feeling of always being watched

I'm probably gonna snap something with my horrible forms one day and die alone in the darkness

have you heard of earbuds and music as a popular way to pass the time? You could also listen to audio books if you want to learn a thing or two.
So much this. I'm a lot more focused.

lol
>tfw only have a big ass tablet that has all my music on it

>what is spotify
>what are playlists
>he actually owns a tablet

never. going. to. make. it.

Not him, but I have a tablet to write uni notes on. Is quite useful.

OP just take a book to the gym and read between sets. Hell, even maximise productivity and read some finance or history (if that's your thing) book. You've got a tablet, which means potentially free books, if you're a degenerate who steals.

I do it alone at 5am. No one is there, nice and cozy.

>first gym buddy was a skelly faggot who took a year to bench 1pl8
>lived by his fucking brosplit
>he literally lifted for girls
>"bro my ultimate goal is to attract a bitch only because of my body"
>"dude long rests are for pussies, just wait a minute then lift your weight man"
>half squatted bitch weight
>stopped lifting with him

>second gym buddy was a fucking terribly proportioned cunt
>huge ego
>preached his own assumptions as truth
>did not take lifting seriously
>always tried to tell everyone how he lifts
>he still fucking finds a way to slip in the fact that he lifts into any conversation with anyone
>"dude lifting is my hobby!!!"
>stopped lifting with him

>lifting alone now
>fucking amazing
>can rest as long as I fucking want between sets
>made tons of acquaintances at my uni gym
>say hi to 3+ regulars almost every time I go to gym
>have had great conversations about lifting with randoms
>strong regulars know me
>not some skelly autist who only lifts with people now

Lifting alone is literally top tier. Learn to do it OP.

>He doesn't write his notes.

I will tonight. Leaving in about an hour after Trumps speech.

Out of curiosity user, could you either describe your physique or send pics. just curious

Much easier to erase, use different colours/pen types, move stuff around on a tablet. Plus I can write on PDFs easily. Storage is easier (one tablet vs hundreds of papers) and organisation is better.

Handwriting is about 50% worse mind you, but still legible.

What artists?

Not going to make it.

How come, user?

Do you think you are one of the two I described? I can whole-heartedly assure you that you are not

I've never had a gym partner before lol, I was just asking out of curiosity

honestly i do describe working out to be a personal and almost spiritual feeling, i dont like to workout with other people. I just joined my schools powerlifting team though, so we'll see how that goes.

Have you ever seen anyone resting between sets alone and thought "Holy shit that guy looks like an autist"? No? Yeah because no one gives a shit

yes, i look myself in the mirror while resting and think that

lmao
OP here. Just got back. I was the only person in the entire gym. Feelsgoodman

I've tried having lifting buddies too

they always just fall though in the end

>old friend from high school wants to lift with me
>goes twice and gives up and goes back to playing video games 24/7

>work friend wants to lift with me
>teach him the lifts
>only wants to go on wednesdays
>just stops going after finals

>very tall fat guy I know from a campus club is in the gym
>nice guy
>lift with him, teach him the lifts, introduce him to the serious lifters
>he stops going and then transfers, but was still losing weight I believe

>meet with another old friend from high school
>he's legit autistic and I try to teach him the lifts but he keeps looking away and getting distracted within seconds and doing the opposite of my advice and then says it doesn't work
>throws a tantrum in the gym and peopel stare
>Go to Cabela's with him
>Again, he's actually autistic and he's looking away and looking at the ground as the clerk is explaining a pistol to him
>stops mid sentence and goes "Are you feeling alright, son?"
>cut ties with him

>1st friend mentioned wants to workout with me again
>actually learns the lifts and seems dedicated
>go for weeks every MWF
>guy is a douchebag honestly
>wants to lift just to get a girlfriend and keeps saying stuff like "I only want to work up to 185lb bench or 1 plate squat"
>Gets legitimately mad at me for resting for 2-3 minutes between sets
>cusses at me in front of people at the gym over small things
>Rushes me in the gym because he has "stuff to do"
>as we leave he wants to go to burger king or invites me inside his house to play video games for a couple hours
>tell him to stop embarrassing himself and say the way he speaks is pussy repellent as he's cussing at me in front of a girl for "taking too long"
>he tells me to not text him again the morning of the next workout
>According to a mutual friend he stopped working out within a month and went back to being a permavirgin loser and we made fun of him

Why

the last one had me rolling

rolling?

erm... rolling on the floor laughing
