Would this be considered a lean bulk?
Tfw bulking
at 6'4 185lb's, probably.
lean bulk is a 300 cal surplus.
A standard bulk is 500 calories a day. "Dirty bulk" is usually over that, often 750-1000 or more, and most get there eating unhealthily (but not always). Lean bulk is less, 200-300 extra calories per day. It reduces the fat gain and is closer to the amount of muscle your body can add at a time.
So, knowing that, where are you starting from? If you're pudgy, you probably want to lose first. If you're just starting to add muscle, try 500 and see how you like the gains. If it's too much, cut back. Not enough, add more. Skellie mode? You're probably fine adding plenty of fat, so feel free to crank it up for a while.
No matter what, make sure you're earning those extra calories by busting your ass in the gym, and get your proper rest.
Dude who posted that, that seems to be lean bulk since Ive been lifting for 8 months, and been steadily gaining weight. I don't count my calories, but just eat and eat and eat. It seemed like so much food at the beginning but like with anything you work up to it, expanding your stomach. Also, I am a poorfag so I bike almost everywhere which probably burns some calories too.
>not knowing how energy works.
Rather than get into the science of it, let me make it simple.
For your body to burn fat, it has to be at a caloric deficit (usually).
For your body to gain muscle, it has to be at a caloric surplus (usually).
If you aren't noob-gains, get out of here with that bullshit, and stop spreading that nonsense around. All you're going to do is needlessly fatten up some poor schmuck that's going to believe your uneducated ass.
\fucking hell that's a great/hilarious image.
>/b/ is back on my board
will you people just fucking leave please
pretty sure skim milk doesnt have 6 grams of fat
