Why do Christcucks take credit for the Renaissance, largely a revival of Ancient Greece and Rome?

because they funded and supported it?

>Leonardo DA Vinci
>Michelangelo
>Donatello
All Christians

Doesn't change the fact that the church would enslave them to paint gaudy shitpieces. Christians truly are the niggers of Europe.

>>Leonardo DA Vinci
>>Michelangelo
>>Donatello

LMAO, have you actually read what they said about Christianity?

Because they do their best to erase even the existence of any other ideas.
Fun conumdrum: is Chrisrianity more like a cancer or more like a virus?

Ok retard, let me put it this way. The Greek influx in the west after the fall of Byzantium had them encouraging for the revival of Greek and Roman art. They brought in ancient texts, works etc.. they were all Christians but valued the knowledge of the ancients and developed it. Contrary to autistic belief, not all Christians experienced the dark ages and not all of them stopped developing Roman work.

>Christianity dominates society, virtually everyone is Christian
>there is a movement slightly away from the Christian tradition in favor of earlier traditions that until now have been suppressed by Christianity
>it's still done by Christians, of course, because there is no one who isn't Christian
>therefore anything good this movement produces can be attributed to Christianity
christcuck logic

Why do westerners take credit for things invented in the Islamic Golden Age?

Hahahahahaha please don't blow up

AYO HOL UP

>renaissance
>good

SO YOU BE SAYIN

Those damn Christcucks! How dare they paint pictures and stuff!

So you're saying the Christians copied them?

Imagine my shock

Disgusting lol, literally a subservient cuckold picture

>Leonardo DA Vinci

If you don’t know the significance of this painting, you have no business discussing the renaissance

Ancient Greece and Rome were Christian though

>Let's depict this Jewish hero as an uncircumcised Greek heathen

What the fuck was their problem? When will Christians apologize for the appropriation of Jewish culture?

Michelangelo was gay and the gays actually care about their appearance down there

You said literally nothing lol

>lose to christianity
>be born christian
>cry

Love it

Christians translated the works of Aristotle on the Middle Ages, and a lot of Greek Philosophy works entered the Italian States because of byzantine religious people escaping from the conquest of Constantinople by the Turks.

The Greek philosophy was studied for centuries by religious people, they preserved it, in fact the Renaissance as we known today was just Illuminist propaganda, the "man of reason" refusing to believe that a bunch of virgin priests studied them.

The Christians incorporated the Greek culture in their own architecture, and patronized a lot of artists to do not only religious works but to paint persons or nature.

A lot of western history was messed already even before the SJWs and Marxists, the Illuminists rewrote history.

Leonardo da Vinci was probably a Deist.

Giordano Bruni, Giovanni Pico della Mirandola certainly were; Manual Chrysoloras was a sort of neo-pagan.

>lose to atheism
>the only way you think you can "save" christikikenity is wewuzzing renaissance

Love it.

The ancient writers and philosophers almost universally believed in God. They despised atheism. Atheism certainly can take no credit either for the Renaissance, antiquity, or the Enlightenment. Atheists are far too quick to suppose that, if you take away Christianity, the only remaining course to follow is atheism, as if Deism did not even exist.

Because anyone with even a introductory level understanding of western art history could identify that painting as one of the very first demonstration of perspective by one of the first master painters of the Renaissance, who paved the way for later innovators like Leonardo and Rafael, all of whom had the church as their patron and were devout Christians painting biblical subjects.

>The ancient writers and philosophers almost universally believed in God
>amerifat education
They didn't believe in your beloved yahwe, you subhuman fattie. If they believed in a force that you call a "god" without a reason, it was still not an anthromorphic diety of the desert. Same case for the ones who actually believed in many diffrent gods.

First of all, I am a Deist. Secondly, Christians don't believe in an anthropomorphic deity either. Rightly criticize the dogma of the Trinity all you please, but that suggestion is a wholly false one.

Why do new atheists take credit for science despite it being a relatively new beleif system?

>First of all, I am a Deist.
Why do you defend christianity then?
>Secondly, Christians don't believe in an anthropomorphic deity either
They do, at least the most of them.
>Rightly criticize the dogma of the Trinity all you please
The vast majority of christians believe in the trinity. Two of these "sub-gods" are anthropomorphic, and the last one is just a meme.

A virus, but instead of harming people christianity is selfless, and spreads without harming the human body. Rather, the changes to the DNA are quite usefull.

1) It is wrong to criticize something when the criticism is untrue.

Besides which, I would defend most of Christianity any day. The Bible is one of the greatest works ever written. Thomas Jefferson rightly praises "the eloquence and fine imagination of Jesus" and his "pure and perfect moral doctrines." Believing every word of the Bible rather than what is strictly in accordance with reason is what gives rise to trouble. If you did the same thing to Plato or any other author whomsoever you would create a poisonous system out of them too, because no man or work is infallible. The attitude of religious dogmatism with respect to Christianity is what is really to be found fault with.

2) In almost all Christian denominations, belief in an anthropomorphic God is heresy. The Trinity is nonsense, of course, and does introduce anthropomorphic elements into the Christian conception of God; but the point is that they don't see it that way, and that they would resent any such imputation.

Unitarian Christians, who understand that the New Testament never once says that Jesus is God, obviously could not lie under even a suspicion of anthropomorphism. Such were Locke, Milton, and Newton; no inconsiderable names.
