Yeah, the only noticeably bigger muscles from when I started are biceps

I figured that I would need to face putting on more fat than I have to at least gain some muscle, even if that puts me over the 15 percent body fat line

Yeah I'm bringing up my bench now, plus cable cross overs for an accessory. Finally got to 1pl8 bench, now I'm slowly increasing every lift 5 pounds.

Biceps are tiny muscles. Don't focus too much on them. It's a waste of time. Do pull-ups if you want to hit them. Compound lifts will get you up to par faster as a beginner.
