Thomas Sankara: RIP Sweet Prince

Is he the only decent leader to emerge in post-colonial Africa? youtube.com/watch?v=uSJvvMlAUwk
>Bans forced labour and payment of tributes to tribal leaders
>Makes Burkina Faso surplus in food within 4 years
>Undertakes massive land redistribution reforms and undertakes irrigation projects
>Launches mass vaccination programs and makes Burkina Faso the first African country to recognise AIDS as a threat
>Carried out planting of millions of saplings to halt deforestation
>Banned female genital mutilation, forced marriages and polygamy
>sells off the government fleet of Mercedes cars and made the cheapest car at that time the official service car of the ministers
>opposed foreign aid, saying that "he who feeds you, controls you."
>he lowered his salary to $450 a month and limited his possessions to a car, four bikes, three guitars, a fridge and a broken freezer
>he didn't want his portrait hung in public places
>named the country Burkina Faso (Land of Righteous Men) and wrote its national anthem

It was still a military dictatorship that suppressed opposition, but yes he was easily one of post-colonial Africa's better leaders. The fact that he tried to make his country truly independent is what got him coup'd, of course.

Patrice lumumba?

Sounds like a based man, too good to rule.

Paul Kagame and Seretse Khama are other good post-colonial african leaders.

>Paul Kagame
>man who led the counter-genocide of Hutus and invaded Congo twice to gencoide more Hutus
Justify yourself, I'm willing to ignore the part where he gets the opposition killed off and suprresses media

Hutus are subhuman, Rwanda is better off undfer Tutsi rule

At this point, there are barely any ethnic groups that Veeky Forums doesn't consider subhuman

Humans:
>French
>Japanese
>Greek
>Italian
>Tutsi
>Greek
>Inca
>Finns

All other races are subhuman

>French
>Jacobins
>the toruture of royal children during the revolution
>Vichy France

>Japanese
>Nanking
>Occupation of Korea

>Greek
>pedo shit
>getting BTFO by Turks
>all the political fuckery and backstabbing that went on in the Byzatine era

>Italian
>the ultimate liability if you're in alliance with them

>Tutsi
>get genocided

>Inca
>fucking alpaca herders

>Finns
>a bunch of reindeer herders that are too autistic for the other Nords

Paul Kagame was the best thing to have ever happened to Rwanda. Rwanda, now a very stable state and a fast growing economy was once Burundi-Congo tier before Kagame (hence the genocide)

...

He brought stability to Rwanda. At a heavy cost, sure, but don't pretend he's some warlord. The wars he made were for peace.

>wants to make country independent of foreign aid and self relient
>get killed by opposition supported by IMF, CIA and the World Bank cause your country wouldn't fit the globalist ideal
Surprise, surprise

The Khama family.

>signs Freedom of Information Bill
>wrote off the whole of Liberia's national debt
>ranked 51st most powerful woman in the world by Forbes
>genuinely funny April Fools jokes

African presidents always make me think of sore losers who never accept the results of the election they don't like and half the time it ends with a civil war. Liberia in particular.
Maybe it's changing.

>cancels Independence Day celebrations, bids citizens to spend day sweeping streets in order to improve sanitation, doing so himself
>demands meetings be held in government buildings instead of expensive hotels, downsizes state dinner budgets over 90 percent
>war on corruption, as of December 2015 only 11 gov ministries, 19 less than previous administration

Not much, but my nigga's only been in office two years.

Ah fuck. Neglected to add a pic.

Happens every fucking time.

>"African Che Guevera"

Wtf I hate him now.

Thank you liberal capitalism!

>a literal soyboy

He was a filthy commie. Glad he's dead

>liberation of women
Glad he got killed.
