I liked him in Ghostbusters.

Not sentenced, posthumously exonerated for war crimes in Bosnia, the court said he wasn't part of the (((joint criminal enterprise))).
As for the verdict of history. A power hungry socialist tyrant who destroyed Serbia for his own ambition. A dishonest quasi intellectual who refused the legalize the books of his namesake, the fist Serb to be named Slobodan (meaning Free or Freeman), ironically calling him a "war criminal" because he was the head of the Yugoslav government in exile and thus considered guilty of high treason by the Communist government, which was his stairway to power.
In the mind of Serbs? Due to propaganda there are many who believe him to be "the last and only statesman Serbia had in over a hundred years". With self hating SJWs associating themselves with the opposition.
It is hard living in a country with a population so retarded that both sides are leftists who's biggest political divide revolves around one man. I hate both sides. I wish we had normal conservatives, and normal liberals, and classical liberal parties. No, we polarize around this faggot. If you love him you're a patriot if you hate him you're a traitor. I hate both sides with a burning passion.
We're neck deep in unions, populism and false promises of gibs.

Him and Ryan Styles are the best in Whose Line

>start three major wars over the course of a decade
>lose all of them so badly that hundreds of thousands of your own people have to flee
>piss off so many people in the course of losing these wars that your country gets bombed

Remember kids, you can lose the war, and you can commit war crimes, but it isn't a good idea to do both.

>Due to propaganda there are many who believe him to be "the last and only statesman Serbia had in over a hundred years".
I don't think anyone really believes that. Even the Socialist Party are like "Well... you know..."

Public sentiment is different from how the parties present themselves (unless you're Seselj).
Go to any social media site and read through the comments, you'll find tons of comments sucking his dick.
The EU runs the show, which is why the Socialist party swept him under the rug.
Vucic will only lose power when he becomes insufferable, just why does he have it? His policy is for the most part the same as the democrats, minus the unpopular austerity. Where he differs is the rhetoric, Slobo's rhetoric.
It's his "dark past", the point that gets most criticism from foreigners that's his strength in the political arena. His actual weakpoint is the austerity, but most of his opponents know full well they wouldn't be able to deliver on their promises under IMF pressure.
The man's left a lasting impact. It's surprising how many people have forgotten working for 3$ per month.

>Go to any social media site and read through the comments, you'll find tons of comments sucking his dick.
Fair enough, I don't browse social media so I wouldn't know. I do however know a number of SPS lifetime members, who all seem to have at least a hushed recognition that at the best he did as much bad as he did good.

desu just an opportunist apparatchik who figured out how to ride on waves of populism

>the fist Serb to be named Slobodan
Nope: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slobodan_Jovanović

He was talking about Jovanovic.

That's who i was talking about. He called Slobodan Jovanovic a war criminal and refused to legalize his books.

Shit, I didn't read carefully enough.

Sry m8

I don't understand the weird mentality Serbs seem to have towards him where they at the same time insist he wasn't an actual serbian nationalist but still end up celebrating him as a quasi nationalist anyway.

Because he "stuck it to the (american) man", and sticking it to the (foreign power) man is a very Serbian thing. Eg. Gavrilo Princip, or provoking Hitler knowing much bigger countries like France fell. Or more recently torching the American embassy after Kosovo declared independence.

I'll back my nigga Alex

>What's the verdict on this guy?

>Due to Milošević's death during the trial, the court returned no verdict on the charges. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Trial_of_Slobodan_Milošević#The_trial as of date)

Literally 10 seconds in google.

I think he means, y-your verdict user..

>I think he means, y-your verdict user..
You want then. History and the humanities have no business in acting as a judge of the past. See L v Ranke,

"But it is not for the past as a part of the present, but for the past as the past, that man is properly concerned" (Diaries, 1814)

"History has had assigned to it the office of judging the past and of instructing the present for the benefit of future ages. To such high offices the present work does not presume; it seeks only to show the past as it really was" (History of the Latin and German Peoples, 1824)

Ok... fuck off now

Yeah, it is pretty fucking basic cunt. There is no "court" here.

If you want a problem in history, did the Slovene republic have a choice in causing the Yugoslavian wars, or was their position pre-determined?

...

we were to slow to bomb slobodan.

fpbp

yeah they really look identical

He was just a guy trying to liberate Serbs in other countries and help them achieve independence.
