Two differences between a wallet and an exchange. If your money is on the exchange "they" have the private key to your account. Technically, they just owe you a credit on your earnings. In a wallet YOU have the private key. No one can touch it besides you because no one else has the private key. Even the people who make the wallet. Lose that key and you are beyond fucked though. Keep your computer VIRUS fucking free. One trojan that keylogs your private key and you are fucked.

I needed to express how important this is. Put your LINK on MEW and keep the private keys safe. Safe as in off of any device with an internet connection and make multiple backups.

MEW wallet is compatible with only ETH and erc20 tokens such as LINK only. For BTC, download an electrum wallet and back up your seed. A seed is basically the same as a MEW private key, except it is a series of random words instead of a random string of characters.

Alright so go to the myetherwallet website and create a new wallet. On the right hand side you will see your wallet address. Copy that address, go to binance and click on deposit and withdraw. Look for LINK and withdraw to your MEW address. There is also a little description box in front of the wallet address, I forget what they call it, but you can type anything in there. Type in mom's cuntbox or something, doesn't matter. Then after the transaction goes through (which should take a few min, u can always check the txid in your history tabs on binance to check the status of the transaction) go back to your MEW wallet and on the bottom right click "load tokens" to see you LINK balanace

And also, when taking advice from strangers on the internet (especially this place jesus) double check everything they say on google. Don't just blindly follow my instructions, people here don't give a fuck.

after you are done there get Metamask, use your mew wallet. Also if you need to send link to binance just send it as link. chur

Yes as long as you have the private keys you are fine. As far as sending LINK back to binance, just do everything the same but in reverse. You would go to binance and click on LINK deposit to see the address, then from there you would go to "send/receive" on MEW and send it to that address. And while I'm giving out advice, do NOT sell your LINK too early. You may be new to this, but if you haven't noticed, you have hit the jackpot with this one. It is quite literally revolutionary. Ignore all of this FUD here and hold onto them for dear life.

After you create your mew wallet you are going to need the address "NOT YOUR PRIVATE KEY - KEEP THAT SAFE" You're going to copy that Eth address (what your address actually is - Eth address). Go to your binance account and go to funds (Deposits and Withdrawals. Find Link...click withdrawal. Put in your eth address and finish the transaction. Your link will show up in mew under tokens in 10 minutes or so.

Also...make sure you know about 2 factor authentication (Learn about it if you don't). Turn that on for Binance. Then someone attempting to hack your exchange account would need to have your phone.
