>you need an art degree to understand art
art is a unique skill
Handyman
Art is 20% skill and 80% being able to advertise your work.
Military officer.
your statement in nonsensical. How much advertising was there for the greek sculptures or buildings before they were built? Almost none.
>Aetas is a good speaker and convinces rich nobles to pay him to carve their sculptures, and travels from city to city spreading word of his talent to the upper classes
retard
Advertisement has existed for many, many years

I don't have a real job myself yet, set to get my Econ BA with a minor in History next year. I might take a gap year or two to double-major. Plan after that is law school.
Faggot
Taking PoliSci atm tbqwyfam.
In Government service, but managing a couple of trucks with my father in law.
Paramedic. I will have math degree by next year, with grades on track to get into med school.
I'm taking it as a minor. Pretty interesting tbchwyfam, helps the lecturers and seminar tutors are amazing as well.
thinking about majoring in this, but heard there's no direct "good" job prospects
is there? or should i stick to something like econ, and minor in poli sci
Currently working at a hotel while I get my accounting licence, already got a job lined up at the local firm
Also lmaoing at all those washed up humanitiesfags
Did International Politics at university because I was deeply interested in the way the world worked
thankfully history has taught me to be a realist and that we're all basically looking out for ourselves and will ditch at a moment's notice if other circumstances arise.
Just got into Law school and I'm liking it so far - it's less about everyone having a 'correct' view, like history and the arts tend to do.
Not to mention it'll probably get me a job desu
You will generally have to have a Masters desu.
>t. Did Pol Sci as part of a double major
>also dated a 23-year-old who was doing her second internship at the U.N. in NYC.
>had a masters, spoke three languages and eventually got a job consulting at the U.N. because of that second internship
She just impressed her manager enough for her to vouch for her. But obviously you have to be hard working as fuck to get your foot in the door
u.s. air force
I'm a consular officer. I'm very, very lucky to have this job, as I'm only 23 and haven't even graduated from my International Relations degree yet (but I will in 4 months). I previously worked in Media affairs.
You have to have a certain personality, like my smug older brother, he's been tending bar for years now..
Me and my buddy has been doing electrical work since we got out of high school, his dad taught us everything but has since "retired". We still work off his license though, buddy us working towards his own. We mostly do low voltage stuff, particularly security cameras and alarm systems, comercial and residential. Sometimes we get called buy his dad's old contacts to work on bigger jobs, remodelling/contracting stuff. Shit work really, but it's just the two of us, so we make pretty good money(when we have work), get to be our own boss. I took home $1100 bucks week before Christmas, pretty good for 21, most of my old high school friends make minimum wage...
Lately I've been wanting to do something else, can't see myself pulling wire forever. I've had this dream of joining the Marines Corps, getting out of my shitty state and actually doing something. Idk....
wha
Marine Corps and now I’m an arborist. I get to climb trees and play with chainsaws all day and go home to my bees out in the country.
Don't join the military if you can avoid it. It is a waste of your time. If you do join, avoid combat infantry at all costs. They will run you with full rucks until you have no cartilage in your knees or your lower back and you will suffer middle aged stiffness in your late 20s. If you absolutely must join, join the Navy or the Air Force. Cushiest gigs. Best gig is Logistics. Things just disappear in that particular department.
TRIARII
Undergrad is in history. Got it while being a soldier in the U.S. Army so worked out pretty well. GI Bill is gonna pay for grad school for international affairs.
how did you like consulting? How'd you land the gig?
I'm fairly new to being a consular officer, but I'm enjoying it so far. The pay is entry level for a grad (but any job in your desired field is everything and more when you do an arts degree) but can rise with a few years under my belt. I mostly advise the Consul-General on policy implementation, as well as do research papers, meetings and organize missions between the country I represent and that which I live in.
Working as a registrar in an ER in Flushing.
Going for my masters in Public Administration at Baruch this spring, work is paying for half of it.
well fuck, I really wanted to just get a good job with a bachelors in PoliSci, even if not related to my field
the more i research, more it seems like a Masters in Public Administration is a must for any political/administrative job
hmm maybe i should just choose another major
Been working mostly as a tour guide at a dinosaur museum while studying geology, probably do a paleo related honours. Between work, uni, and volunteering at digs I'm getting some decent taphonomic knowledge built up.
That being said the whole dinosaur museum thing has me really fired up and I reckon with part of my time I have a reasonably realistic pathway to possibly indulge a childhood dream of my own and become a steam train driver.

kek some one post the screen cap of the guy who believed sailing across the med. took decades before the modern day
AV Technician. I generally only use my degree to annoy people with historical knowledge they don't care about.
>kek some one post the screen cap of the guy who lead along a bunch of pseuds that just can't help themselves replying by pretending to believe sailing across the med. took decades before the modern day
ftfy
Fuck, wrongquoted
Meant for
Doing CS right now, and I'll probably be able to find something in the industry with it. Hopefully someday I'll get hired by Paradox and go make EU5 DLC until I retire.
Thats the dream
Have a military history degree and currently teach standardized tests three days a week and work an internship for a museum the other four
Out of work composer/ baritone.
Burnout. I work at FedEx loading boxes into trailers and I sell weed and acid on the side. After work/hustling I like to take a couple painkillers and pass out reading wikipedia articles or watching youtube videos about history or philosophy. Its the only thing that keeps me sane. Stay in school, don't waste your intelligence
At the moment I'm a Law Clerk and Bartender while I complete my degree. Looking to go into criminal law when I finish, I work with a lawyer who knows someone in the local Crown Appeals unit
either that or you do a fuckload of extra work volutneering for NGO's. Even some admin work in some governance somewhere would help.
I'm not saying you can't get a job in the field with bachelor's in policy, but it'd just be hard. Try to aim for internships with the U.N. or the peace corps (If you're a yankee devil).
Try chatting to your head of school/career advisor to check up options
Studied economics and will do some sort of Masters and a bank side job once I start. I speak 4 languages so that should help, but I'm about to get a job as a waiter or bartender most likely (hopefully).
>Crown Appeals
so you're commonwealth too? What's Criminal Law like? Did you do any elective clinics/internships during your law degree? is there something you'd recommend doing?
I'm a first year law student; I'm trying to get into bar work right now so I can really double up and not have an excuse to have a social life.
>ree normies get out
I'm 25. This took a while to get to desu

Currently studying to become a customs officer with prospects (and a bit of connections here and there)to become the head of the tax department.
Artist
As in visual work not shit on canvas
Used to do a bit of construction jobs, washing dishes and tending bars, as well as a few months of the NEET life here and there. Then I got sick of the that and felt like some free money from the state so I started studying archaeology. Turns out I really love the field and job prospects aren't too bad if your not completely socially incompetent. I'll have my BA in the summer, and then go straight in to a MA for two more years.
