Its crazy how absurd warfare has became

it used to take skill, strategy, tactical awareness etc. in the days of swords and even in the early 20th century wars

now we have hypermissles that can travel anywhere in an hour and strike a target

i mean wtf, shit doesn't even take skill, its absurd

shit changes breh

It still takes skill, just not tactical skill. Now, the skill is scientific (making the better missle) and political (getting others not to missle you). Also, this only applies to conflict between superpowers, smaller conflicts still require tactical skill

You do realize the people in charge of these missiles undergo hundreds of hours of training

Once the deadweight intermediary relic generation dies we'll be enables to get on with some real shit.

I think my phones actually retarded.

and even more in the future a IA will do absolutely everything for us,if that happens, what will be our reason for living?

>what will be our reason for living?
Anything. You'll have total freedom.

Why would you even waste time posting this?

It get's crazier. We can launch these from container ships or trucks donning a coca cola logo. They could be parked off of our shores and wipe out our coastal regions and we would have no reaction time to defend against them.

Personally I'm hoping we go full Dune and develop forcefields so powerful that they stop any high-velocity object, so people have to go back to using melee weapons because they move too slow for shields to deflect.

M8 that's not happening unless its been given the go ahead as some further false flag bullshit.

It's Russian strategy actually.

>inb4 demobong shouting Poo-teen

I love Russia and Putin is the greatest leader of the 21st century.

>Whoever has the best defences survives
>Whoever has more money has the best defences
>Whoever has his shit together before everyone else has more money
You can no longer ignore internal politics and be safe from conquest, now the most efficient society survives as opposed to the one with the best army

I mean, it takes a lot of skill to design a hypersonic missile system...

>hundreds of hours of training
***You were droned by xXxN0SK0P3 420 BL4Z3 17xXx

We have iPhones™ now

>Now, the skill is scientific

Yeah, homosex faggotry, not real manly skills

> IA will do absolutely everything for us

Weapons will become obsolete soon, cyberwarfare will be where wars are fought in the future.

>Weapons will become obsolete soon, cyberwarfare will be where wars are fought in the future.

.t popular culture binger

Weapons can protect or attack a factory, weapons can't protect or steal a bitcoin. Wealth will become digital and weapons will be completely ineffective in the digital economy that's coming.

Would you invest billions in a military that can't protect your assets anymore?

>>Anything. You'll have total freedom.
>there are Americans who actually believe this

>greatest leader of 21st century
>economy is rapidly collapsing and would almost certainly get raped if they started a war with literally anyone

>>weapons can't protect or steal a bitcoin
>steal fiat currency
>because an enemy can't just use it's own fiat currency or introduce a new fiat currency to market

>Would you invest billions in a military that can't protect your assets anymore?

The military already has cyberwarfare units, and it's not just the military charged with it's defense.

It's do anything or do nothing. If you WANT to be a nihilist, then go ahead. You have the freedom to chose that. The fact you got triggered from hearing freedom and assumed American and immediately associated it with negativity in the claim somehow was, well, it was disturbing.

Russia has:
>stronger agriculture than a decade before, and is stronger than it's been in a very long time with massive export potential
>sanctions means it won't suffer from a collapse in western economies and it's export markets would boom
>second strongest military export market
>new uniforms, new tanks, new ships, new aircraft - new military

They did all that without the comintern, the Warsaw Pact, or even Ukraine as a breadbasket. I'll go a step further, Putin is the greatest leader in the last....

....Century.

The kind of mathematical thinking required to build that technology is extremely masculine, hence why women are terrible at it

>implying fiat currencies will be worth the paper they're printed on

Nobody will spend billions on carriers or bombers that can't do shit to alter the balance of power anymore.

Everything pre napoleonic era is so cool, the napoleonic era is kinda gay, just two armies standing, facing eachother until one side wins

>Nobody will spend billions on carriers or bombers that can't do shit to alter the balance of power anymore.

Mate, mass currency fraud has been a thing in warfare in this country since the revolutionary war. It's nothing new and computers seemed to have added more opportunity for stabilization methods than intrusion methods. Think this through, we can cut off enemies using hard or soft assets and use technology to balance or flush the financial system as needed. If anything we're safer than before as long as we know the nature of the problem and the enemy causing it.

Carriers and bombers don't alter balance of power? Their mere presence causes diplomatic actions and refinancing of other state actors. They shift units and design doctrine, mobilize thousands to millions and train constantly because of it.

Napoleonic era was still cool and had some sweet charges. It was really the speed and accuracy of the rifle that damned melee charges.

Not really. Advanced technology just reduces the amount of deaths on the field because no one has to work very ahrd, meaning less attrition, front line duty, disease, desentry, deserting from loss of morale, war crimes from beingu nderpaid/oveworked. Now people must more closely use their skills in the field instead of worry about the will of God in every battle.

Wait until we get to Legend of the Galactic Heroes tier my nibba, where he scale of war production is on an interplanetary level

>Advanced technology just reduces the amount of deaths on the field

It won't in the next major war.

Emp says eat a dick

They alter the balance of power today because they can protect or threaten valuable assets that today are mostly physical, but in the future when most assets are digital and won't be as easily threatened by conventional weapons the balance of power won't be affected that much by carriers or bombers.

Good luck stealing a bitcoin using emps

ultra realistic space warfare is the most soulless shit ever
muh cones and radiators
muh laser and missile spam from long distances

>emp hits areas hundreds of miles in diameter
>average investor can't log on
>average investor can't sell his coins for actual cash or barter

This is what he meant.

>won't be as easily threatened by conventional weapons

This is where you're fucking up. Hypersonic missiles, and increasingly less detectable almost can't be countered. I'm telling you right now, the weapon Russia and China are fielding give them a tremendous home field advantage. We can't take them if they team up together. Especially if a third party like Iran enters the mix. Cyber warfare can augment a defense better than an offense, as stated above. Conventional weapons can augment an offense far better than a defense. Restating your claims don't make them true.

Money, even digital money, becomes useless if your land is reduced to an irradiated crater.

Having assets means nothing if everyone is dead.

> The kind of mathematical thinking required to build that technology is extremely masculine
Yeah that's why limp wristed pussies who faint at the sight of a woman and who die of skin cancer when they go outside their basement are so much into it

...

Bitcoin can be crashed in a day 100%. That's no arguement

>Veeky Forums is fucking clueless about modern warfare
Color me surprised.

>Hypermissiles
>shit doesn't even take skill
Still can't conquer goat fuckers after nearly 2 decades.

>t get's crazier. We can launch these from container ships or trucks donning a coca cola logo.
>people think you can just pop a hypersonic meme missile like the DF-21 from a fucking truck
lmao shut the fuck up you popsci guzzling retardicus maximus

COIN is far different from what is expected of conventional, non-nuclear warfare.

>rapidly collapsing
Did you get frozen in 2014?

>be someone who knows someone else with a shitload of bitcoins
>be poor
>have a gun
>break into the house of your bitcoin guy
>force him with your gun to give you all his bitcoin

How couldn't that happen on a international level?

rich people can afford to have security.

>Whig subhumans talking about space bitcoin
Disgusting.
What's really interesting will be what warfare looks like after the inevitable collapse of industrial society.

>Veeky Forums is fucking clueless about literally everything
FTFY

Which would be some sort of conventional weapons. Face it, your bitcoin economy doesn't mean shit when your local superpower decides to bust down your door and occupy your country

literally all significant pass codes in the west are known/read
but ur not important enough to even know that
hell ur not important enough for it to matter

i'm not the bitcoin retard buddy

Do the stolen public funds stashed in Putin's mansions count though?

This, future warfare is gonna suck so bad.

>strategy? morale? nah fuck that mate just a big steamy pile of radioactive shit and we'll see what happens afterwards

It does take skill, just more technical skill than pure braun. As warfare became more mechanized, the traditional concept of an army has become obsolete. Soldiers are now no longer needed to capture enemy territory, only to occupy it. They're much closer to a sort of law enforcement in that regard. This was already in motion by the fourteenth century, with the development of gunpowder-based artillery pieces. Artillery crews gradually became more and more important in warfare, until WW1 where they were the dominant force on the battlefield. It took the development of the airplane (flying artillery) and it's use in WW2 to unseat them. Then since WW2 the aircraft was augmented by the rocket.

The modern missile button-pusher's job is not that much different than that of an artillery shell loader on a Spanish galleon - the only difference is the maximum range. That "range" issue is why countries don't just declare wars on each other willy nilly now, because the capability for warfare to be so destructive and so global wars quickly become much nastier than they were a few centuries ago.

Not really, it just has a higher emphasis on stealth and deception. Much like warfare used to be. The most dangerous ship isn't an aircraft carrier, but a totally unassuming freighter.
