in 1066, the battle of stanford bridge, there was a bridge in between king harolds forces and harold hadradas forces who were assembling and caught of guard. a single guy with an axe held standford bridge and 1v1 killed like 30 guys before someone killed him with a spear from under the bridge. and this actually gave enough time for hadradas forces to assemble
