Sweeping historical generalizations you've learned in school, work, and life.

1) Most people don't like immigrants.
2) There is little to no chance of anything approaching a global socialist turn/change/revolution/whatever you call it.
3) Money does in fact rule the world.
4) There will always be an underclass to exploit.
5) Morals/moralists always lose to money
6) The universe's long arc bending to justice is horseshit -- unless you're rich.

>7) ????
I can get behind this one

Doomsday prophesies are a great way to get lots of people working for you without paying them or risking rebellion.

Best part is that by moving the goalposts you can keep it up practically indefinitely.

Laws of thermodynamics apply fairly well to mankind

>2) There is little to no chance of anything approaching a global socialist turn/change/revolution/whatever you call it.
No shit Sherlock. It's been like that for almost a century.

people speaking in absolutes are fucking morons

>Laws of thermodynamics apply fairly well to mankind
shut the fuck up lol

Or Sith .

>4) There will always be an underclass to exploit.
>to exploit

>implying that statement is incorrect.

Lolwut

...

3) Money does in fact not rule the world, debt does.

>speaks in an absolute

The will and culture among the population is what truly governs, and all state leaders merely play along and decieve population to steer the course in however way best works.

If you live under a set of laws that makes it impossible to not break any it then it's a dictatorship.

In not democracies you get a leadership of psycopaths who aren't shy of having some blood on their hands for their own greedy sense of purpose.

>be 2018
>have wealth of human knowledge quite literally at your fingertips
>being this stupid

War never changes.

>Money does in fact not rule the world, debt does.
>implying there's a difference.

10 Internet penalty for unnecessary pedantry.

I agree with all of that. Especially 6)

>In not democracies you get a leadership of psycopaths who aren't shy of having some blood on their hands for their own greedy sense of purpose.
You get that in democracies too.

>leadership of psycopaths

Kind of redundant right there.

0) Snows ALWAYS melt
1) Hammer and anvil then rinse and repeat
2) "Charging into the front of braced spearmen is a great way to kill off your cavalry!"
3) Politics is the mechanism states use to maximize how many Heavy Shock Cavalry units they can field
4) When in doubt, attack!

>Snows ALWAYS melt
What?

"I assure you it is no threat. Snows always melt..."

1) The Jews Did It.

most people are dumb, can't think rationally, only care about themselves or their families (which are extensions of themselves), will follow what ever system supplies them the most comfort, peace of mind, etc.

but also to understand that you have to give people the benefit of the doubt. They're all you have, and no one asked to be born into this shitstorm of a world

and then tho at the same time the world is pretty epic too

oh also that Marx is always either taken too seriously or not seriously enough

Gonna have to disagree with number 5. Not because I agree with number 6 (I don't, I believe there is no set moral arc for good or ill.) Because if that were true we would still be living in absolute shit bronze-age conditions and nothing good would have ever happened.

>most people are dumb
Most people aren't dumb, they just have other priorities.

7) Power trumps everything. At the end of the day the person with the most guns wins.

Still mad we never got season 3.

In a way I'm glad it stopped while it was at it's best. They had plans to go through to the life of Christ and they probably would have gotten real bad dong that.

fair

I hate plebeians who disagree with me but I hate autocrats even more.
t. me

>pullo is re-assigned to Iudea because of his wife-slaying
>pullo personally stabs Jesus
It was annoying it was so short because you have
NO MY WIFE WHY DO DIE
to
AH MY NEW WIFE LETS HAVE BUNGABUNGA but I still remember my wife so kill you when you tell me about the first one

>5) Morals/moralists always lose to money

The west ended slavery purely for moral reasons. Ask yourself, what is the financial gain in using paid labor over unpaid labor? There isn't one, from an economic standpoint slavery is objectively better. But we got rid of it any.

Britain did it for moral reasons, in America it was mostly to curb the power of the southern aristocrats in the federal government.

He probably means the early medieval slave markets, although that would include the ERE.

War has changed
