in my experience it doesn't really make a difference. as long as you hit your protein and calorie goal you're good, at least as far as gains are concerned.

It's fine, just understand that sugar is addictive. The more of it you eat, the more of it you're going to WANT to eat, and that will make it mentally more difficult to maintain a "lean" surplus of only 250. 250 will become 500, which will become 750, which will become holy fuck you're fat again.
