The deadlift bars are hollow in the middle and about 6'' longer than the squat bar. It's so that the bar doesn't vibrate as much if you drop it.

There's the Texas squat bar that weighs 55lbs however, it's for folks that lift over 800lbs usually and it's thicker in diameter.

bitch what. dead bar and squat bar are both 45 lb oly bars. they are the same damn bar. there is a women's bar (lighter and also thinner because women have smaller hands which makes deadlift grip more difficult with an oly), but most women use the oly bar.
