We're in the steepest mass extinction event in history.
Global warming will hit hard in the second half of this century. Based on climate, it will hit Africa the hardest. Meanwhile, Africa's population will grow to 4 billion, more than half the world's current population alone.
Yet we do little to check this. We don't even safeguard our nation's with closed borders and constitutions restraining migrant flows.
This is the fruits of capitalism. How high we few.
Too close to the sun.
Caleb Morris
>This is the fruits of capitalism.
Yeah, because communist societies never polluted. Oh wait, they polluted even more. Whoa.
Mason Brown
> Based on climate, it will hit Africa the hardest. >Africa's population will grow to 4 billion These two things do not go together.
The Chinese will probably wipe them out with a bioweapon anyway, years before climate-related starvation becomes an issue.

You say science overcame superstition, but I saw a guy on /x/ make this so he could summon Cosby to help him rape his sleeping sister.

People even waste food on child abuse.
How does a prosperous society get rid of decadence?
Robert Russell
What a fucking idiot! Never mind the fact that The soviet union and china were and are fucking state capitalist. How does that change the fact that the inevitable drive towards more PROFIT! PROFIT! PROFIT! is literally killing the FUCKING EARTH.

>The Chinese will probably wipe them out with a bioweapon anyway, years before climate-related starvation becomes an issue We can only hope.
Imagine being this wrong in this few words.

I'm kind of looking forward to the future to be honest. Sure, there will be suffering, but humans have been perfectly fine surviving with far more suffering than we have right now for tens of thousands of years. The important things in life though, they won't only survive, but they'll make a return and become prominent in our lives once more. It's like God himself is setting us back a few paces so we don't fuck it all up and ruin everything.
Christopher Young
it's funny how communists always make pretend to have a solution for global warming but they don't
The only workable solution is mass depopulation
Josiah Myers
>the soviet union was capitalist how far will commies go to deny their crimes against humanity

>checked It's only bad if we can't keep up. The Northwest passage is becoming more and more viable each year. The Arctic will be the next scramble for Africa this century and Antarctica the next. The map will change and the wheel of history will keep spinning. It'll be even funnier when Republican deniers are faced with Florida being underwater or Kansas becoming a desert.

He's completely right. The Soviet Union had money and markets. They had an insulated economy with their satellite states that were semi independent. The Soviet Union's economy collapsed when they hit peak oil 1988 and started to charge their puppet states western prices for oil. When it was basically free or cheap to them before. It's how North Korea became a famine ridden shithole. They were realying on cheap oil for industrial farming. Cuba was smart and dismantled it all and gave power back to independent farmers. North Korea was more concerned about maintaining power and diverted their remaining oil to maintaining the military. If they had an endless supply of cheap oil the Soviet Bloc would be around today. Putin was able to restore Russian power recently by using technology to restore oil production to historic levels allowing them to oppose the America empire on the world stage again.

Personally I'm looking forward to the atmosphere turning yellow and mildly poisonous, and all marine life dying.
Joshua Rivera
werent commies pretty good at mass depopulation

What a "romantic dinner," looks like in the post sexual revolution, postindustrial capitalism world...

This is the level of alienation we have. Marx was right about something...

>money: a tool to overcome the double coincidence of want when people want to exchange items >markets: a tool to overcome the fact that every resource except air is scarce >as long as these two things exists it will never be true communism

>people today are more alineated than they were in the 18th century who were more alienated than the people in medieval europe were more alienated than in ancient rome from the products of their labor
Sebastian Walker
You do realize that strict border controls will be implemented eventually right? Nobody in their right mind is going to let hundreds of millions of blacks migrate into their countries. The negroes will either be shot at the border/have their shitty boats sunk or they'll die in their own shithole countries. The current migration crisis is just a small amount of people from the middle-east.
Jace Bell
Russia's economy is smaller than Italy's a volcanic peninsula with very little oil. Oil isn't as big a part of the economy as you think it is. It is like sex, it is nice and some people obsess over it but you can do fine without it.
Camden Jones
No, it is not. 4 billions in 2100 and still raising.
Yeah, but no country with more than a hundred people will ever work without propriety or money. You can argue all you want that even Stalin had to accept capitalism once he got tired of seeing millions of dead bodies but it does not change the fact that trying communism killed millions ad will kill millions again if it is tried again.
Blake White
that was clearly a joke though

We are democracies. In a few years, the majority of Americans will be from the starving countries and will side with their countries rather than their host country. It will be the same in Europe in a few decades, so probably before it start.
Jaxon Butler
Not to mention how much the flood of refugees will change American demographics and politics. America will almost certainly become more economically leftist and far more socially right-wing as a result of it all.
Camden Williams
For a board that studies history, they sure don't know how to learn from the past to save the future. Maybe history has a right wing bias.
