could Rome have survived if they had railways?

>Could Rome have survived if they had the coal fired engines that pulled railways in the 19th century
>Nothing else relating to it, just railways and locomotives
Do all Romboos have some sort of aneurysm that makes them say spastic shit?

lol i literally mean just railways broskie just pretend there powered by the gods or something

Well if they only have railways nothing changes, you need shit to run on said railways, junctions, cars, timetables for optimal deployment

you mean if they had something like dresines?

Not big enough

That's some impressive autism my man, you know what OP meant.

Rome dying is a net positive.

But would they run on time?

Buttmad

Are we saying just rail travel, and not all the steampunk shit attached? I think they'd last quite a bit longer, since they could move armies around to deal with the external threats quicker, quell internal dissent, etc. It'd help with food supply to areas as well, so yes, a number of concerns would be addressed. But maybe not all of them.
