Not being bogged down in a static frontline and actually defeating European powers probably is two of the more common reasons.

But then again Germany ended WWI without a single allied soldier invading Germany.

Wehrmacht was aesthetic and their ideology was based

Although the Imperial German Army was arguably a more professional and organized fighting force, the sweeping territorial gains of the Wehrmacht blitzkrieg shocked the world. Although the Imperial Germans were a capable and formidable army, their strategic situation was never awe-inspiring like the Wehrmacht, nor did the Imperial army ever pose an existential threat to not just Allied powers but the entire course of Western Civilization. In many respects, the Entente and Central powers were not too dissimilar in I, as evidenced by moments like the Christmas truce. However, WWII was an ideological conflict without compare, and in this regard the Nazi ideology is unique and rather alien in the whole of European history.

the only reason imperial germany did not defeat france is because the russians were invading east prussia and von moltke abandoned the schlieffen plan to relocate divisions from the west to defend it.
