it depends on how long you plan on holding a coin. If it's for months, maybe years, then sure, go ahead and hodl. But If you're looking to turn a quick profit over days or weeks, or if you're expecting something to happen that will pump the price and it doesn't pan out, hodling through a downtrend is the most retarded thing you go. Nothing will bleed you dry quicker than hodling. You need stop losses, set at reasonable points and you need to stick to them. Cut your losses short and let your winners run. Fuck, some of these shitcoins don't even exist after a year because they get themselves delisted off the exchange.
