So I started cutting. Following the sticky and all that. I will do this for 6 months and lose 100lbs hopefully.

I have introduced minor bodyweight exercises. I can barely do a push up, so I do an inclined one on the stairs. I got DOMs on the circled part in the pic. Only there and my triceps, nothing in my pecs. Am I fucking up something? How can I "use" my pecs more??

Been lifting SS for about 2 months now (on a cut, kill me). I want to start adding accessories to it, but am unsure of what.

I was thinking daily pushups and sit ups since I have very little that works my abs.

Opinions?

First off, congrats, I hope everything goes well with the diet. There are a lot of ways to do pushups that will work a little more of your chest, wide grip, narrow grip, t pushups. I would google them and try em out.

Most people say the hardest part of the bench press is the half closest to your chest, but I find it harder to lift from half way up to all the way up. Does this mean my triceps are disproportionately weak compared to my pecs? Should I do isolations to catch them up?

Alright, so before i start lifting i need to correct my posture. I have Anterior Pelvic tilt, i started doing core exercises and stretch neccesary parts, but my question is how often can i do those? Can i do them everyday? If i do them i can feel it tomorrow in my muscles but day after it is ok.

Another question, i do wrist exercises with weights to prevent RSI, how often can i do them?

Ask someone or a trainer who works at the gym if they have a handheld device to measure your body fat or calipers. Some gyms offer those services for free if you have a membership but they don't usually advertise them as much.

I don't have anything and can't afford a gym membership so I'm starting out on bodyweight exercises. I plan on buying a door frame pull up bar (they're affordable enough, metal bar, leverage kind).

At the moment I'm limited to doing squats, push ups, and sit ups and their variations, but most of the bodyweight shit I read doesn't have sit ups at all. Are they going to fuck me up?

I used to be a lacrosse defenseman for about 9 years. (Tall, heavy, big frame, built like a truck.) But ever since starting college they don't have a team and I've lost my source of exercise. I quickly gained 30 lbs and lost all motivation to do anything athletic because I can't do the one sport I love anymore and I'm not into just raw working out.

After that backstory, people always told me I have wide shoulders and am tall like a swimmer. Is swimming a decent way to just lose some weight? I'm unhappy that I'm finally getting a gut. I never was fit but I didn't have much extra body fat lying around my stomach but now I could literally take both my hands and grab handfuls of fat. I don't know what to do and I have no motivation because no lacrosse.

I've been doing farmer's walks about five times a week and everything was fine week 1 but after my last session I'm experiencing mild pain when I pinch grip. During my last few walks I was getting some pain in my right ring finger but finished up my workout anyway. Now whenever I pinch with any amount of force I'm getting some pain in my forearm.

Also, potentially related, I stopped doing lateral raises since last week I was experiencing pain during them near my right elbow. Just on the outside of my elbow, parallel to my thumb if my hand was held out supinated.

Yes but losing weight also has an effect on muscle mass too. When you lose weight its a ratio of both fat and muscle, which is why you eat a ton of protein on a cut to sway that ratio more toward fat.

Once each leg has gone down you have completed 1 (one) rep. I like to do one leg at a time to get lunges over with but that's just a preference.

Free weights are more effecient (multiple muscles at once, full range of motion), but muscle growth comes from muscle fatigue. So long as you're not capped out at the machine, you will see growth.

Don't forget to work those stabilizers too.

I'm doing Veeky Forums's greyskull, which focuses more on upper body which is great. But I only spend about 40 mins in gym 3x a week. Should I switch to reg parks maybe? Want a full body 3x a week with more volume. Reg parks only does chest once a week every other week though, this seems too minimal
