it probably is wise to wait, none of these projects have short term ideas, you either miss out on a 5x profit, or more likely a 5x loss, but you gain perspective and have a much better chance of making 20-30x over the long term if you actually invest in something that stands up on it's own.

the hard part is working on what is going to succeed, because there are coins that have been around for 6 years that have no future (like litecoin).
