I have trouble focusing on things that aren't necessarily entertaining to me, but focusing when you don't "feel" like it is a skill that all adults should work on with enthusiasm.

I was prescribed Adderall for a year. It was amazing. I knew I was ADD for like 8 years before hand. I went from getting 28 on my act but having a 2.5 GPA to being on the Dean's list in one semester. And when I joined the military I stopped and felt fine without it. Only people that abuse it or don't need it get "addicted."
I'm planning on getting on it again in the future since it made literally every facet of my life better. Talking to girls was a lot easier since I wasn't constantly thinking of something else, making myself do chores, all of a sudden it wasn't an exhausting uphill battle to focus.

I only started experimenting with this a few days ago. L Theanine gives you a nice kick in the morning and makes you really want to get up and do something, perhaps nearly more so than modafinil (although the onset is a bit more subtle than modafinil, which seems to blow you wide wake after 2 minutes).

5 HTP is to help you with your sleep, whcih modafinil isnt great for. Also boosts your mood a little bit.

I'd maybe advise phenibut too but bear in mind it can be a bit addictive. twice a week MAX
