I know this is a hotly contested issue, but there seems to be alot of cultural continuity with africa, and almost none with Europe and the middle east in regards to ancient Egypt. Let's take a look.
>Mummification- Surrounding african cultures also practiced mummification, but practically no mummies have been found north of Egypt, or at least no mummies of the same type.
>Circumcision, another practice that appears to have it's roots in africa
>Animism, you're beloved Pepe is african.
>Some of the hairdos and style of dress have remained largely the same ie. micro-braids.
>Little to no facial hair
>Afro-centric mapping with south Egypt being "upper", and North being "lower".
Also, in thier own words they were Ethiopian colonists.
There are more I know, but that's just off the top of my head, so what gives? How could they be European or even Arab and have so little in common with those people and cultures.
>inb4 that non-peer reviewed study of one grave site in lower Egypt from the Greek period. That uses concepts like sub-saharan, yet only uses one tribe to define sub-saharan. Also ignoring the fact that the Nile traverses both and the Sahara was much greener than it is today.
>Afro-centric mapping with south Egypt being "upper", and North being "lower". This is because the Nile flowed from south to north.

>Egypt, located on the isthmus of Africa, is an ideal region to study historical population dynamics due to its geographic location and documented interactions with ancient civilizations in Africa, Asia and Europe. Particularly, in the first millennium BCE Egypt endured foreign domination leading to growing numbers of foreigners living within its borders possibly contributing genetically to the local population. Here we present 90 mitochondrial genomes as well as genome-wide data sets from three individuals obtained from Egyptian mummies. The samples recovered from Middle Egypt span around 1,300 years of ancient Egyptian history from the New Kingdom to the Roman Period. Our analyses reveal that ancient Egyptians shared more ancestry with Near Easterners than present-day Egyptians, who received additional sub-Saharan admixture in more recent times. This analysis establishes ancient Egyptian mummies as a genetic source to study ancient human history and offers the perspective of deciphering Egypt’s past at a genome-wide level.

There's no such a thing as a black race or a white race, it's just an anglo/american invention for political purposes
There are different phenotypes like bantu, congoid, and the explicitly different and separate khoisan. Same for caucasoids ans mongoloids
Only amerishits believe in a "white race" that, ironically, magically changes its definitions from time to time including all people from "Europe" (also continuously modified according political stuff) and even including people who are not and do not consider themselves european (as the Kalash). And all this retardation is projected unto other "colors" creating meaningless terms like "black race" or "yellow race" which they force and promote in the world
Amerishits should be exterminated from the surface of Earth

>I know this is a hotly contested issue lol, only if you're an insecure American. Everybody knows ancient Egyptians weren't nignogs, they were more related to other people from the near east than they were to Nubians/Ethiopians. The negros claiming descent from Egyptians aren't even from the same region as Egypt, but I guess Americans think "blacks = all of Africa" "whites = all of Europe" "arabs = all of middle east" etc.
Dylan Cook
Yah, americans are cancer

Egyptians were African. There was sub saharan Egyptian admixture, there were North Africans, some Arab migrants, etc.
Ancient Egypt certainly had black people and many of their pharaohs were post amara and possibly pre were unmistakably "black" as well. Nubian dynasty was straight up black as well.
The real questions is: Who the fuck cares? Why are Americans so obsessed with race in an ancient civilization that didn't use those concepts in a non superficial way?
Ian Phillips
Well, it's not in Europe or the Middle East so... yes.

>have so little in common That's not quite true of European culture, in so far as ancient Greece and the Minoans were heavily influenced by Egypt. The fact that Bedouins are the closest modern genetic analogues for ancient Egyptians makes me doubt your claim about Arab culture too.
Besides that, E came out of Eurasia into Africa.
>E is a clade of Haplogroup DE, with the other major clade, haplogroup D, being exclusively distributed in Asia. >DE is a clade within M168 with the other two major clades, C and F, considered to have a Eurasian origin. >After an initial Out-of-Africa migration of early anatomically modern humans around 125 kya, fully modern human E-carrying males are thus proposed to have back-migrated from the paternal haplogroup's place of origin in Eurasia around 70 kya along with females bearing the maternal haplogroup L3, which is also thought to have originated in Eurasia. These new Eurasian lineages are then suggested to have largely replaced the old autochthonous male and female African lineages.[3]

Natufians unrelated?
>According to one theory,[23] it was a sudden change in climate, the Younger Dryas event (c. 10,800 to 9500 BC), that inspired the development of agriculture. The Younger Dryas was a 1,000-year-long interruption in the higher temperatures prevailing since the Last Glacial Maximum, which produced a sudden drought in the Levant.
>According to ancient DNA analyses conducted by Lazaridis et al. (2016) on Natufian skeletal remains from present-day northern Israel, the Natufians carried the Y-DNA (paternal) haplogroups E1b1b1b2(xE1b1b1b2a,E1b1b1b2b) (2/5; 40%), CT (2/5; 40%), and E1b1(xE1b1a1,E1b1b1b1) (1/5; 20%).[19] One Natufian individual was also found to belong to the N1b mtDNA haplogroup and two others belonged to the J2a2 mtDNA haplogroup.[29] In terms of autosomal DNA, these Natufians carried around 50% of the Basal Eurasian (BE) and 50% of Western Eurasian Unknown Hunter Gather (UHG) components. However, they were slightly distinct from the northern Anatolian populations that contributed to the peopling of Europe, who had higher Western Hunter Gatherer (WHG) inferred ancestry. Natufians were strongly genetically differentiated[30] from Neolithic Iranian farmers from the Zagros Mountains, who were a mix of Basal Eurasians (up to 62%) and Ancient North Eurasians (ANE). This might suggest that different strains of Basal Eurasians contributed to Natufians and Zagros farmers,[31][32][33] as both Natufians and Zagros farmers descended from different populations of local hunter gatherers. Mating between Natufians, other Neolithic Levantines, Caucasus Hunter Gatherers (CHG), Anatolian and Iranian farmers is believed to have decreased genetic variability among later populations in the Middle East. The scientists suggest that the Levantine early farmers may have spread southward into East Africa, bringing along Western Eurasian and Basal Eurasian ancestral components separate from that which would arrive later in North Africa.
Grayson Jackson
>No affinity of Natufians to sub-Saharan Africans is evident in the genome-wide analysis, as present-day sub-Saharan Africans do not share more alleles with Natufians than with other ancient Eurasians.[19]
Oliver Ross
