Not him but I use coinbase. It's relatively easy to use in my opinion. There might be better exchanges that get mentioned but it was just what I used starting out and I haven't had any issues with it.

If you are worried about the safety of your coin you can save to a software wallet like Electrum or look into purchasing an actual hardware wallet, these can be kind of pricey (like $100+) but worth it if you're concerned about that kind of thing.
