Why doesn't Veeky Forums ever talk about Substratum?
Why doesn't Veeky Forums ever talk about Substratum?
Confirmed scamcoin.
I'm actually curious about this too
What do they mean by a "decentralized internet"?
sold all my ICO bags for a 2x
Censorship proof internet, without needing VPN or tor.
Network can be maintained just by having it run on your phone in the background.
So you never have a static IP or something, it always bounces all over?
What makes one of these tokens worth a dollar in the future
Bump for this question. OP, come shill us, I'm curious about the coin.
its shilled every day here
just a fake scam coin
...
It's on storj, Sia, shitcoin level.
Bought a few weeks after ICO when they announced to participate in the Binance vote and to burn tokens and sold for a x3 two weeks later.
Now it will die to 1 sat like all shitcoins.
Bagholderd shill it quite frequently here btw
at least get creative with ur FUD, so obvious desu.
Substratum will have quite a few components. The main one is decentralized web-hosting, which means instead of mining for the coin, you're letting people use your computer as a website host by using a one-click app that you can download to your phone/desktop/notebook.
>Why is this big?
It means it will be impossible for your site to be taken down by anyone (bye bye DMCAs). It means it will be impossible for your site to be censored by China, Iran or any other shithole. It means that if you build an app using the Substratum network it won't be able to be banned by countries like Brazil did with WhatsApp a few times.
>How does this bring value to the SUB coin?
People who lend their computers as webhosts will be paid in SUB and people who want to have their content hosted on the network must pay in SUB. The Substratum website will also have an option to buy SUB for you from exchanges automatically (so normies don't have to go to exchanges), which will drive volume for the token up because normies will be buying SUB without even knowing what crypto is.
>That's all?
No, there's also a second component called CryptoPay, which will allow ANY site that runs on the Substratum Network to process cryptocurrency transactions using any publicly-traded coin.
>Why is this huge?
Basically PayPal for crypto where you can use any cryptocurrency. Also easy to implement for people who want to use it.
>That's all?
No, they're also planning a video component, something akin to YouTube but not much details on that yet.
>Wew. That seems pretty ambitious. Can they handle it?
Yes. Team is very experienced, with vets that have worked with Apple, American Express, Kodak, Disney, hp, Cardinal Health, NBA and more.
>Why hasn't it mooned yet?
Beta starts in December. v1 is out in January.
I'm 4x and I'm holding. If you think this isn't going to be worth at least 1usd by the end of January you're retarded.
I've looked at this one, I brought some and sold off half since its moon, its competitor is shift which seems to be techincally better but substratum is undervalued and will make me more money so I'm in it regardless
Shift uses IPFS. It's a fucking joke. No self respecting company will use IPFS.
People want to have domains that are .com or .net or whatever.
ark and dnt are both using ipfs. whats so shit about this technology?
It isn't shit by itself. It's shit for a decentralized web. Shift isn't even close to making anything but static sites and they can still be banned.
Thanks, user, appreciate it. Love the idea, and will probably buy in when I have some funds free. What do you think of Golem? I also think its idea is a pretty epic one.
Hey, stop trying to shill this scam coin.
Everyone here knows you're just a shill.
No problem mate. I truly believe in the SUB team. Tbh I have heard of Golem but never looked into it closely so I don't really have an opinion on it.
Which bags are so heavy that you're coming here to spread FUD? INXT? FENX? SHIFT? MAID?
