never liked the taste of alcohol so I never really bothered to try and force myself to like it. Helps when you are autistic about fitness.
I was an alcoholic for a year and a half. Now I'll grab a drink with friends on the weekends.
After I hit rock bottom I just don't see the appeal of getting wasted anymore.
How do you deal with the day after? Do you just slam some water before you go to sleep that night? Do you not really have to worry about it? I don't like getting wasted either.

literally this. those drunk fat fuckers will call you a child for not falling for their artificial masculinity goyim meme but the truth is alcoholic drinks are pretty disgusting. I can hold my liquor just fine btw, better than most actually (since I got out of auschwitzmode at least) and on occasion I'll get shitfaced but honestly I always regret it the day after. It's just not worth it. It's not even because of hangovers, it's just I feel like I've been a weak normie.

I regret it about 2 drinks in and stop. If you need a high try some mdma lsd m8, they aren't as big of gains goblins.

sure, why not? It's a time honored tradition of mankind. As for hangovers, cold powerade or gatorade always helps me. Heres a tip that I discovered: brush your teeth before you drink, and clean your tongue. Half of the hangover for me is the shitty taste in your mouth.

I get hammered every weekend. I love drinking but the growing amount of alcohol needed to get drunk is starting to worry me. I might down 15 portions of alcohol just for pre drinks and still not get a proper buzz. I've become a pro at handling hangovers. I can function just fine even with an earth shattering headache and upset stomach. Usually I'm able to avoid the worst hangovers though. Hangover can be avoided regardless of how much you've drunk the night before. Like I might have been drinking 20 portions of alcohol during the evening but I can escape with the mildest hangover if I just remember to drink a lot of water (2-3 liters) and eat salty food like a kebab before passing out.

Yep but I only drink straight vodka and I know exactly how much to get where I need to be; can get blasted but never had a black out or a hang over, never puked. You can still drink and have fun and make gains just don't be an idiot

Only when my brother is in town, which is rare. But drinking gets me way too depressed, and I am already depressed so it just adds on. So I tend to avoid it.

I'd say normal, except considering my age (26) and location (uk) it's probably less then that. I might have 1 or 2 during the week and maybe bit more on the weekend. Every so often I'll go out and get drunk. Alcohol does effect gains though - I drank around 4 beers everyday for 10 days over xmas + new year (and on some days a lot more) that coupled with gym not being open all the time knocked my progress.
In college I could get hammered 2-3 times a week (like a bottle of vodka a night) and still do my normal routine lifting 6 days a week. I'm 28 now and if I drink like that one night I'm useless for at least the next 3 days

Yes i drink and usually have 2 bottles of water before bed to avoid hangovers. I usually feel fine nut still dont like working out the day after drinking.

I trip every three months. It's objectively better than drinking
More fun than drinking, doesn't kill gains, meet more fun people, makes me feel less depressed, little to no "hangover" depending on what I order and how much I take, way cheaper than buying alcohol every weekend, better stories to tell, etc.

I recently quit drinking because I can't moderate and it was slowly killing me. Alcohol will ruin your life if you let it. It took 7 years to slowly grab hold of me. Liver cirrhosis approaches silently too. It's usually far too late once you realize you have it.
Weed is far safer and I can moderate it (once ever week or two). So I will probably stick with that. But alcohol is heavily ingrained in our society. It's literally everywhere, especially if you live in a college town like me.
i mostly drink about 1-6 beers a week, sometimes way more on weekends. craft beer only. not a big fan of liquor, but i'll drink a ton on weekends if necessary.

I drink lightly (2-3 drinks, if any) on a weekend. Mostly just smoke bud though. It's great pre-workout to help focus, and great post to relax and soothe muscle ache.

The people I know involved with that sort of scene never change. Their lives never go anywhere beyond that. They are the divorcees, the single moms, the tattoos and tapout clothed 30 year olds.

I used to drink everyday, I stopped mostly cause of how many empty calories I was taking in. You also sleep so much better sober. To me it's harder to get to sleep, but once you do, the quality of sleep is way better, and you wake up feeling good. You also end up saving a lot of money, so that's cool too.
That being said, I will forever enjoy getting dickered on occasion.
