Has anybody here gone no-caffeine? What did you drink before? How much? How did quitting go?
I only have a cup or two in the morning but im thinking it might be a good idea to cut it out entirely. Worried about my workouts suffering though. And that morning cup is one of my favorite parts of waking up. Idk

as long as you're drinking it black and it's not affecting your sleep, there's no reason to stop.

Who here /mixes mr hyde with sips just to feel any sort of buzz whatsoever/

>no-caffeine >no-fap >no-porn Quitting mundane things won't improve your life at all, faggots. There's no reason to stop.

I gave up 99% of caffeine 10 years ago.
I switched to decaff coffee and decaff green tea.
I had no negative side effects,,, and it really affected my discord with life and made it better.
>Starbucks next door to work.

you can try buying decaf and making your coffee a mix of 1/2 decaf 1/2 regular. once you get off caffeine, if you drink coffee again, it'll give you perspective on how much it affects your body. that being said, i don't think a cup of coffee a day is bad. it's one of those things: if the idea of being addicted to something bothers you on principle, regardless of it's effect on you, then by all means. but there's nothing wrong with coffee. if anything i'd move it away from mornings, and just drink it before a workout. i love nothing more than coffee banter with friends, seeing as i don't drink alcohol.
Carson Collins
Its not really affecting my sleep but i work afternoons/evenings and ive been starting to get pretty lethargic around then and thought the coffee might be whg. Maybe ill switch to decaf and see how it goes.
Nicholas Hughes
Gave it up for lent. Used to to drink about 3 pretty heavy cups a day. No side effects, haven't had a headache yet. I miss it because I love the taste of black coffee in the morning. Easy to drop, in my opinion.
Matthew Thompson
I stopped drinking coffee because it made me have to take a shit twice a day. I was not digesting my food fully. Which is bad when you're bulking.
Hunter Hernandez
Caffeine has a net positive affect on your physical and mental health, when used correctly

I tried to cut out coffee but it was much harder than I thought. Quitting cigs was easier for me than coffee. I see no reason why to quit coffee though. The worst side effect is it can stain your teeth. But coffee actually has a lot of benefits. My favorite being it helps your liver cleanse itself. Like someone else already said, if it's not interfering with your sleep, then why quit? It's not going to mess with your gains.
Gavin Green
Mininum from 3 cups of coffee to 7+ to several energy drinks. Just quit cold turkey and slept a lot, hardest part was the habit so I switched to decaff for a while. It was a pretty good choice, it means when I actually need a boost even a single cup works wonders.
It fucked with my sleep like crazy. Couldn't help myself from drinking it even till the late night as a bed time drink. Was wayyy easier to quit than cigs, got it first try, but failed cigs many many times. Just opted to vape instead, nailed that switch first try about 2 months after caffeine.

>I switched to decaff coffee Why would you drink coffee if not for the caffeine?
Jayden Rogers
i quit energy drinks and preworkouts for just a cup of coffee a day. my productivity has gone down. but i sleep easier
Hudson Price
So i know coffee has all these good effects and antioxidants and shit. Does decaf have the same effects as well?
Ian Edwards
I only drink tea
Ayden Wright
The comfort and warmth of a hot beverage.
Charles Bell
I stopped drinking it because it was giving me ridiculous shortness of breath during workouts.
Jack Allen
4 years without caffeine via coffee and only supplement with preworkouts.
Was effecting my sleep so I had to cut it out.
Colton Martin
Why would you stop drinking coffee? Caffeine has loads of health benefits, even anti cancer. Besides, it is delicious.
Grayson White
I quit a while back. Drank about 4-8 cups a day before. I became overall less tired, more concentrated, never had problems with headaches again after that and I became far more active in the morning.
The first day or two were pretty bad though.
Jack Hughes
This is good to hear. Im worried that when i start school (while working full time) ill have trouble concentrating in the evening without caffeine. Being more clear-headed and alert throughout the day is the goal
Thomas Carter
I read that decaf has most of the same benefits. It may lack a few, I'm not sure what though.
Henry Morgan
hmm yeah I wonder what benefit decaff could be lacking that actual coffee has....
Kayden Collins
I don't know how anyone can go a day with an ice cold RockstarĀ® energy drink.
Josiah Nguyen
I don't drink coffee or energy drinks, I never really felt any need for that and more importantly, I have severe problems with falling asleep even after just one coffee in the early afternoon. Dunno what causes that, but I learned the hard way to stay away from it.
Daniel Morales
Was drinking something like six, seven cups a day. Stretching out at work meant walking to the kitchen, making a cup. No longer felt any real effect, could fall asleep right after a cup.
My doctor called me a dumbass and told me to tone down. So I did, quit cold turkey. Went surprisingly good, no real negative effects.
Went three months without coffee. Started drinking again, a cup, maximum two a day, when I needed a boost. Now I actually feel the coffeine hitting my system.
Julian Thompson
Was a heavy caffeine drinker (3 redbulls, 3+ cups of coffee a day). Hated the feeling of being jittery, so I went cold on caffeine. Reintroduced a little bit of tea after a few months. The first two weeks were pretty bad (headaches, etc.), but after that went away, I had a far higher average energy level throughout the day then the spikes I would get with caffeine. Reduced anxiety too, give it a shot.
Luke Green
I'll have two cups a day, never after noon. Things are good! I love the taste and feeling in the morning, and it doesn't effect my sleep providing I work plenty throughout the day.
Coffee is coffee. Enjoy it and enjoy its rewards
Justin Flores
Coffee accompanies desserts super well, and I eat dessert infrequently enough that it seems worth it to also get some decaf.
Evan Morales
I drink 16 cups of coffee and jerk off 7 times a day.
It's a waste of money and time but I just can't stop.
Ethan Fisher
Used to drink a cup a day and preworkout. Quitting was pretty easy and I just snort coke before my workout. Works way better and it is way healthier too.
Parker Howard
Decaffeinated is still caffeinated, just slightly less. At least at Dunkin when I worked there.
Benjamin Davis
This. I never understood the coffee hate on this board. It's fine as long as you don't drink it less than 8 hours before you go to sleep. Only thing I can think of is it's kind of expensive if spend $3 every day at starbucks instead of making it at home.
