Progress thread, "did I even change" edition

Didn't see a progress thread anywhere.

Pic on the left is from October, pic on the right is from just now, and I'm a little disappointed to be honest. The difference in training is that a few months back I got a hernia, so I had to stop squatting and deadlifting and transition to high-rep leg press and extension instead.

So god bless the people of your family and your life and you can always be your own friend. However I think I should probably be able to see more levels as soon because they have never seen the same amount as me.

If you're new to lifting you could get away with dieting and lifting so you lean out and put on muscle. That won't last forever though. Yeah your back looks pretty good, no need to really go fancy yet with the workout so you seem to be on the right track.

I plan on doing a small cut in the fall after putting on more mass. I have to admit though, my goals are to be joocy mini-fridge mode.

I lifted for a year while cutting at 1200 cals, saw little improvent in lifts and got too thin for my liking. But I'm definitely going to keep the diet in check, I do eventually want to compete so I know I'll need to be able to lift while going through cut n bulk cycles.

It's been mostly cardio. I just started weight training, however my new job also requires a bit of heavy lifting so I've been able to develop more muscle than I expected in my arms.

I'd say each day I have roughly 1200-1800 calories, I am a recovering food addict, so some days are worse than others but I've found that keeping myself busy and using walking as my main mode of transportation helps me ward off food and keep my intake low

Never too late man. Take pictures from day one every week so you can look back and appreciate how far you've come. Any time I feel like I'm not making progress I just pull up something from a few months ago, or the same time last year, or 2 years ago, etc, and there's my proof that I am making progress. Compare your current self to your former self, not to an arbitrary end goal "goal body" or whatever. Best way to stay positive and looking forward to the next workout imo.
