Nothing really.

There is nothing wonderful about the modern world
We’ve grown used to everything

Most of those aren’t that impressive

Besides Christ the Redeemer they were all pretty hard to build at the time

1. The Eiffel Tower
2. The Statue of Liberty
3. The Hagia Sophia
4. The Colosseum
5. Taj Mahal
6. Big Ben
7. The Red Square

Shouldn't it be St Basils or the Kremlin rather than the square?

What an Eurocentric list

>Eiffel Tower
Is there a more overrated building in human history?

>6. Big Ben
a fucking clock

It was actually taj mahal, machu pichu, great wall of china, colosseum, christ the redeemer in brasil, petra and chicen itza

By the way pic related was one of the finalists

Glorious Mali
Truly this is on par with the pyramids

No, I can't think of one, the Arc is superior to that ugly piece of shit

The colosseum, taj mahal and great wall really are

It was a technological prowess at the end of the 19th century and an iconic monument of the modern era.

That doesn’t sound like most to me

How could that be a finalist? Asians Europeans and South Americans have made thousands of things more impressive than that

La Creatura

colosseum and great wall are just a bunch of bricks
muslim architecture was more advanced than that and more beautiful

>Alhambra
>Timbuktu
Not impressive at all.

ahahahahhahaha are you fucking kidding me?

The colosseum is much more impressive than anything the mudslimes built, the average Catholic church is more beautiful than 99% of the mosques

>falling for bait this hard.
Go back

>The Eiffel Tower
>The Statue of Liberty
>Big Ben

Dutch Delta Works
CERN
Panama Canal OR Suez Canal (no need for similar projects in the list)
Three Gorges Dam

More projects for this list?

St. Peter and Venice deserve a place on the list of new wonders.

>wonders of the modern world
>don't put anything from the modern era

it's just a sand castle.

>Christ the Redeemer
fucking meme

there is no comparison, classical art and recognized worldwide as an ideal of beauty

Taj Mahal is from the modern era you dumbo

The Aswan dam
Any sumbarine wiring

This one takes up two spots for the 7 wonders

you also wanted an African mud hut on the list.

>Eurocentric

>The Eiffel Tower
>Big Ben
Oh boy. This really rustles the shit out of me.

While it lasts

statue of liberty, just to make Americans believe they have some kind of culture.

He's not wrong. Some of them clearly don't belong in the list. But it's more correct to say Western centric.

The red square???
Its just a flat area wtf doode?

No actually, statue of liberty as a symbol of america and because america is important to the modern era. Also because the statue of liberty is french you mongrel.

The ISS would definitely deserve to be one. Not only is it an impressive engineering feet but it exists as a culmination of multinational efforts.

>original 7 wonders were pinnacles of engineering for the time
>people now just choose stuff that looks old instead of things that are technologically impressive

...

>choose stuff that looks old
The pyramid of giza was created thousands of years before some of the other stuff that made it into the ancient wonders were.
It makes total sense to include things that are as old as a few centuries.

Drumpf's hair

We've reached a point in which most architectural feats seem trivial for most people. Most of the seven wonders were built at the expense of an entire nation's wealth, and today nobody's gonna spend that much on a building.

how does it work?

Because even thousands of years later the pyramids were an unparalelled feat of architecture. Seriously, even today we aren't even sure how the egyptians could possibly build them

This. Inca architecture is another example.

The Internet is the number one wonder of the modern world

>even today we aren't even sure how the egyptians could possibly build them
Not this shit again.
Also, there were wonders who had been built just a few centuries before the original list was made

The wonders are buildings though. You might as well add electricity to the list.

One of those indoor skydiving places

"running water system is the number 1 wonder of the ancient world"

As someone already said, the ISS.
Maybe find whatever is the biggest data center in the world and call it a wonder too.

>ISS
Singapore's Supertree Groves
(just for green architecture. Pretty neat in person too)
>CERN
>Palace of Westminster
>Three Gorges Dam
(although that whole earthquake shindig would likely get it excluded)
>Eiffel Tower
>Svalbard Global Seed Vault
>Burj Khalifa (because lol)

Do something of value yourself nigger

>Singapore's Supertree Groves
>(just for green architecture
YES YES! Let’s decide the wonders of the world based on an agenda! Throw in some green architecture even if it’s not that impressive at all and don’t forget the Muslims!

>Svalbard Global Seed Vault

Why are there so many contrarian fags on this board

Man of culture

Stone roads were the internet of the ancient world.

WOW ITS SO WONDERFUL AND AMAZING MAAAAAAAAAAAN

Try to climb a mountain and create a entire city there.

t. Soyboy city dweller

hermiene.net/essays-trans/seven_wonders.html

The Pentagon is considered a wonder (by civ 5)

It is, I don't get your point?

No it’s not. It just takes a while.

ahah, yeah, alright, okay brainlet.

Look at the picture here this isn’t ground breaking architecture. All they did was build it up on a mountain. Yeah, it’s harder. But it’s really not that impressive.

Wow racist much?

The eiffel tower, big ben, the statue of liberty, the great wall of china, the indian space program, the mecca, the vatican

ahah, yeah, alright, okay brainlet.

1-The human zoo/parallel evolution experiment (north korea
2-newyorks sewers
3-amsterdams manmade country.
4-the greatest tourist trap on the planet, the kabaa
6-the yellow river dam that changes global wobble in china
7-muh fat arab dick.

I'd remove the Burj. Tallness alone isn't a claim, esp. when Tallest Buildings are being one-upped every few years. Eiffel was tallest at its time, but it represents a lot more than just magnitude, and that's why it's on your list, isn't it? Good call on CERN and Svalbard.

I know you want to give arabs some rec, but at least spell ISIS right if you have to post about it

I love pictures of the Alhambra but architects seem to despise it as shoddily built

1. washington monument
2. white house
3. statue of lincon
4. hoover dam
5. mt. rushmore
6. the pentagon
7. space needle

Objectively true list
