I'd post a third image, but I'm on mobile and don't have any more recipe pics here
Beef Stew
3lb beef chuck roast
1/4 cup flour
1 large or two medium yellow onions
4 cloves minced garlic
2tbsp tomato paste
1c dry red wine
4-5c beef stock or broth
2 tsp dried thyme
1-2 bay leaves
2tbsp Worcestershire sauce
4 large carrots
4-5 large red potatoes
1c peas
Butter
Salt and pepper
Start by heating a Dutch oven or large heavy bottom pot over medium high heat, curbing your beef, dicing your onions and mincing your garlic. Add enough butter to coat the pan. While that heats coat the cubed beef roast in the flour, salt and pepper. Sear the beef in batches so you don't overcrowd the pan. This takes time, don't rush for maximizing flavor. You may add more butter if there's not enough fat in the pan. There will be brown bits stuck on the bottom of the pan, this is good. Once all beef has been seared add chopped onions and more salt and pepper and more butter if needed to the pan. Stir occasionally, cook until tender, about 6-7 minutes. Once cooked add minced garlic to the pan, cook until aromatic, about 30 seconds. Next add tomato paste and cook about 2-3 minutes. Make sure to stir during each step.
After add red wine and allow to boil and reduce down to about half its volume. Now you can begin scraping the brown bits from the bottom of your pan. After this has been reduced, return the beef, and add thyme, bay leaves and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a boil and then reduce to a simmer. Cook uncovered for 1 1/2 hours and stir every 10-20 minutes. Taste throughout, don't be afraid to add more salt, pepper, or Worcestershire sauce.
After its simmered for for as long, add your carrots and potatoes, cut into bite sized chunks to the pot. Allow to simmer uncovered for an additional half an hour and covered for an additional hour. Again, storing every 10-20 minutes. Once it is done, remove from heat, add peas, stir to incorporate them in and allow them to heat through for 1-2 minutes. Serve with fresh cracks pepper and crusty bread.
ewww vegetables why not eat wheat instead it s healthier and tastier
How is wheat healthier than veggies? Genuine question
Cook them with meats that gives flavour to water when boiled (like serrano), throw all on the blender and drink that shit. Win/win.
>drink that shit
That sounds fucking nasty, why not just eat it?
>beef stew
In what possible way is this a fit recipe you thick cunt.
You have nearly ruined this thread with your hogwash potluck bullshit

nah don't puss out now or do Ya not have it in ya
Ya because beef stew being healthy compared to a mcdouble is really saying something you refried dingleberry just admit it you're either my grandma or just old as fuck
To add to this- you can mix in mackerel, sardines, sild, pilchards and any other small fish and it tastes just as good or even better
Also on the fish recipes, great for bulking but awful for cutting recipe is Tonnato sauce:
>1 tin tuna
>5-6 anchovies in olive oil
>3 tablespoons of capers
>glug of lemon juice
>1/2 cup mayo
>1/2 cup olive oil
>pepper/cayenne/dijon mustard to taste
Blend til smooth. It tastes fucking incredible on warm bread/toast
Also I made protein fluff ice cream the other day and it was a god damn game changer:
90 to 200cal Ice Cream:
>20g casein (any protein powder will do but casein helps add volume/dairy texture)
>6g xanthan gum (yes, the shit in mcdonalds milkshakes)
>half teaspoon of vanilla extract, or some vanilla paste/bean scrapings
>1 banana, ideally frozen
>1 avocado, ideally frozen
>Natural or granulated sweetener of your choice, I use stevia or xylitol
>Blend for at least a few minutes until it becomes massive in volume
>Find a giant tub and freeze it for an hour or longer
>Serve with any low calorie sauce, or on it's own- tastes like heaven and it's less than a 6th of the calories of regular ice cream
Damn son, you unmasked me. Come give babushka a kiss now, be a good boy
How do you learn to cook? I don't think I'm learning by following recipes. Don't I need to learn the basics first?
Watch Gordon Ramsays scrambled eggs on youtube. If you can cook scrambled eggs PROPERLY you have all the skills you need to cook 50% of meals.
Learn to cook your 3 favourite meals.
Learn a new meal every couple weeks.
Repeat ad infinitum.
Golden rules:
1 Grain + 1 Meat + 2 Veg = Universal starting place.
Oil the food, not the pan. Always add food to already hot pan/pot/oven/etc.
Let meat rest.
Slow cook anything tough. Learn your meat cuts over time.
Learn flavour profiles for universal things- Chinese 5 spice, any basic chili, any basic curry, mirepoix, etc.
Download these shows:

Watching those will help pick up basic kitchen knowledge/technique as well as give you step by step instructions you can follow yourself to make tasty meals. Watching someone else do something and explain it is way better than just following a recipe.
these posters are of the old wolfensetin yes?
What do I mix this with? How much oil, and what kind of pan?
I'm genuinely retarded by the way.
wat
Mix it with whatever mixing machine or utensil you prefer.
As much or as little oil as you want.
Whichever pan you have.
You're asking purposefully autistic and retarded questions.
had these, proportions are off but bretty good
I wasn't trying to sound like a troll, do I mix it with a whisk? My hands? What utensil are you referring to?
You didn't answer any of my questions man. I honestly have zero cooking IQ. I can barely crack an egg.
dutch oven, kek
Left to right is Wolfenstein, Doom, Quake.
groovy, not to derail the thread but do you know if the new doom's any good?
That's proportionally a shitload of onion.
onion is yummy my brother
It's loads better than Doom 3 was.
Thats a small can of tuna man, I get the 200g ones
worth a rent or a buy would you think? i played the second years ago and loved it, never the first or third
Thanks a bunch!
I'm in the very small minority that loved Doom 3. I loved the developing story through the PDAs and progressing deeper into the facility.
New Doom is infinitely better in terms of gameplay and is pretty much a masterclass in efficient coding but it's very boring story wise.
It's worth buying on a Steam sale if you just enjoy fast paced demon slaughtering.
just saying
what are those potatoes called
3 minute quesadillas
>cook scrambled egg first
>put that aside on plate
>toss tortilla on pan
>put cheese on
>put the scrambled egg on
>put pre-cooked meat on(I just use diced chicken breast from the grocery)
>salt and pepper
>fold in half with spatula
>cook in each side for 30 more seconds
>enjoy
Dude, if you're a "DooM" guy, you NEED to check out the new Doom.
whats the difference between a chickpea and a garbanzo bean?
I've never had a garbanzo bean on my face before
cool, thanks man
Not him but in the Netherlands we call them 'Krieltjes' (or pommes parisiennes apparently), just small potatoes.
My moms poppyseed cake recipe. Pic is something similar.

There's nothing healthy in that whatsoever
Apple sliced 7 days ago.
