i know some rich retirees, world travelers, checking off every country. recently they hit the 'stans. i always get full rundowns on their trips because i'm a nerd.
these are nice rich liberals. every place they go no matter how poor is "charming, so nice, they're really improving," etc. etc.
Kyrgyzstan was "disgusting" and they had to bribe everyone they met, and all they had to eat was goat, goat, and more goat, and there are issues with the smuggling of some real serious shit i'd rather not type. its a real problem so you have "peacekeepers" from every swinging dick country on earth tearing apart your luggage.
