130+lbs lost. I have type one diabetes and some degenerative skeletal issues from scheuermann's disease, so I do look really fucked up. (my ribcage is tilted pretty bad.)

But I'm better. I'm healthier. Gyno surgery is as soon as I can get approved for a loan to cover it ... it doesn't look horrible here but when I'm relaxed, it's pretty bad.

Goals are to be THICC and strong. Slow bulking my way to victory now. No need to rush.

Accomplishments are finally handling my type one, breaking my addictions to porn and video games, and successful romantic/sexual interactions with hipster girls after a 6-year poisonous relationship. (hence the fat.)

You've lost a lot of fat weight, that's very impressive. I say the best you can do right now is precisely not to rush things. I mean, not to burn out in some way or another. Stay that thin and continue to work out, even if you don't have crazy gains in the first few months, make it into a long aim project.

6'0", 320 to 198, the lightest I've been since elementary school. The loose skin on my abdomen sucks, it's literally a pound or less of fat in there but it's enough to weigh it down. The skin isn't going away, but hopefully getting to 180ish will empty it out.

save up and get the surgery, its probably worth it and in 5 years you'll probably look completely normal with minimal scarring

Different guy but there's a limit to how much you can bulk up on your abdomen (without just putting on abdominal fat and going back to where you were before). If it were on your chest or arms it'd be a different matter, but abdominal muscles/obliques/spinal erectors just don't take up enough space to make up for a beer belly's worth of skin.

how fat were you before? It could still just be subcutaneous fat. If you pinch it and its more than a couple millimeters theres still fat keeping your skin from retracting.

I hear that you can to cut down to 8-10% and stay lean for a while and it can still tighten up some.

I only really have pics of my face from when I was fat so here they are as comparison, total weight loss took about 3 years mostly from counting calories. In the last pic I am in fact a bit drunk.

This is just what I can think of at the moment. But my life has changed for the better in every way. People are nicer to me, opportunities have opened up for me that I took advantage of because I'm not a beta who's scared of rejection anymore. Losing the weight and changing my life has given me the confidence to not only take advantage of opportunities but I also work hard and create opportunities for myself as well and I owe that work ethic to dropping the almost 200lbs I had to lose.

How bad is the loose skin and how does it affect sex and your self esteem? I get kinda self conscious when Im fucking a girl missionairy and I can see a little pouch of belly skin hanging. Girls dont seem to mind too much, but I still usually avoid it.

What diet did you follow and how did the weight loss affect your insulin resistance?

Providing you're on MDI, what was your carb ratio before and after? Did you find it affected your basal more than your bolus?

Never really bothered me man. I have some excess skin on my chest and lower abs but every girl I've ever dated or had sex with knew my story or atleast knew I lost a bunch of weight.

The excess skin isn't as bad as I thought it would be. It doesn't affect my self esteem very much because I look great in clothes and I don't look as bad as I thought I would naked. Mainly because of building a good foundation of muscle while losing the fat. I tell everyone who is overweight, obese, morbidly obese and god forbid super morbidly obese to get into strength training as soon as you can because building muscle is the only way you're going to improve your body composition. Skin is incredibly elastic and it will shrink a whole lot but it also needs something to attach to. That's where having muscle comes in. I shouldn't look the way I do after losing 200lbs but I've been strength training most of my journey so I am thankful I didn't just do generic exercises to burn calories, diet and cardio when I went to the gym.

187cm / 109kg, DL 180kg, squat 150kg, bench 110kg and ohp 70kg.

At worst i was 130kg untrained few years ago, went to gym and did on off brosplit -tier stuff for couple years (had stress, was sick a lot etc. but it was better than nothing, most importantly i lost some fat then). Never lifted nothing too heavy then.

Got my life together and started after 6 month break again, been lifting for 3 months again now.

Currently cutting at steady pace & doing 16/8 IF.
