(You) don't.

stop watching porn and jerking off. worked for me, but my life was pretty much ruled by it so...

It was hard for me too, i quit watching porn and started my diet and workout routine at the same time. Surprisingly i found it was easier for me to stick to a new lifestyle when i didn't spend all my time jerking off like a retarded gibbon. You just gotta replace it with something else.

you have to submit to the fact that there's no such thing as having complete control of yourself

the best you can do is to strive to make conditions optimal such that "you" do what """you""" want "yourself" to do

Detach yourself from pleasure and learn to love pain.

Learn to do without (over)thinking; have a plan and stick to it.

Drink a lot of milk.

so, for example, you wouldn't eat your entire day's worth of calories in the morning and then try to use your EPIC WILLPOWER to not eat anything for the rest of the day

you plan your meals, eat good foods, etc

that's not to say that you can't will yourself to do things at all. I use willpower to not eat until noon every day. There's just no such thing as perfect willpower

just say "fuck it" and do it you fatass

Completely indomitable isn't possible. You can come close.

Go grab a soft mallet, cooking spoon, hairbrush, or whatever. You want one end to be gripable and the other end to have a decent surface.

Now go find a comfy chair. Get real fucking comfy. You're not going to be getting up for a few minutes, so get those interruptions cleared away.

Lean back a bit, let your legs spread, and let those nuts have some room to breath. Take a couple deep breaths at least.

Now smack yourself in the nuts.

As you either double over or slide back further in pain, realize you could have either struck softer or harder. What you chose to do was strike with the exact force that was needed.

As it fades, you'll discover two more things. The first is that all pain fades. The second is that you are the master of your pain, and by extension, your fear. Pain and fear are only by your choice.

Whenever you feel indecisive, depressed, lethargic, or just need a reminder that the world doesn't owe you shit, sit down for a few minutes and repeat this

I find it helps me to think about all the sadness and depression in my life when im on the last rep of a set or the last 5 mins of a run.

It makes me think Im turning everything thats dark and sad about me into an "armor" for my body in muscle.

I guess i do this so that whenever I feel really hopelessly/kill yourself depressed in real life I can think about pumping it away in the gym.

Will-power is a joke.

Just ask the question of whats "normal" for you and work there.

non-attachment desu
liberate yourself as far as possible
start with your childhood traumas and work your way up

just like lifting.

skelly here, how do I eat my entire day's worth of calories in the morning?

What book in particular would you recommend?

Are you serious? Like I can eat just 1 big meal and wait all day, and that won't be bad for me?

would be a great will power exercise nut possibly unhealthy

What you want to do at the time only correlates with what makes you happy about 34% of the time.

You don't want to go to the gym now, but no one leaves the gym unhappy that they went. No one is ever unhappy after they eat broccoli. No one ever regrets reading a book. These are only things that you dread doing before actually doing them.

this is pretty autistic desu

Try. Try a lot. You'll get used to idea of going all the way in everything you do wether you fail or not
