The problem with the reaction to female "collaborators" is that the head shavings and parades and beatings and humiliation were often done by people who "collaborated" just as much as the women had. The women collaborators who were punished were women who 1) fucked the German soldiers or had relationships with them; this included prostitutes whose clientele base shrunk exponentially during the war 2) benefited in some way from the German occupation (for example: if they lived in a town where soldiers were stationed and had an officer living in their home, they got better food and treatment than others, or they were sent to work at the occupied mansions as maids or secretaries and thus got access to food and rationed goods others did not, etc).

Why not shave the head of the man who willingly shaved Nazi's stubble and trimmed their hair, and was tipped with fresh and often difficult-to-get items like real butter? Why not start a humiliation parade for the hotel waiter who served the Germans with a smile and enjoyed the financial benefits that came with appreciative German diners?
