I used to work with helping obese people diet and change their lifestyle at my old job. It really was a sad state of affairs most of the time, as most people couldn't handle it or follow through. With glimmers of hope sometimes, with the occasional person actually making it.

The obesity doesn't just affect the person who's going to an early grave, but their families aswell. I quit that job because I couldn't handle seeing kids suffer from the poor choices of their parents. Fuck that shit man, it hurts like hell seeing 3-4 year olds seeking dad/mom rolemodels wherever they are, because their parents aren't stepping up to the job. You shouldn't be allowed to have children if you're not fit enough to follow through the job that comes with it.
