At least in the Old Testament, it is known that other gods do exist. The point was that the one God (of the Jews) is absolute.

Another reason why I like the Quran: it shows that God has care for people other than Jews. It shows that the same God who saved the Jews can save others. Very good religion, it has definitely pushed forward the Abrahamic message considerably.

The Quran specifically mentions that Jews were the chosen people, and that he made them live longer than others because of it. Supporting the idea that faith can make people live longer, like how the antediluvians used to live for centuries.

This gives further evidence and support for the claim that Jews fell from God's grace, which is stated in the Quran as well.
