They stop arrows pretty well. This is a lousy example picture of it though.

I have been meaning to see how well they stop a bullet but I live in the middle of the city and haven't had the chance to shoot one yet.

Blunt and and regular sword hits dent and cut at it a bit. Axes would be trouble, like they should be.

I started lifting to help with my depression and anxiety.
6 months in, nothing has improved. I literally only keep lifting out of habit and the delusion that maybe after long enough it will help(It's not).

You could potentially do a kevlar layer instead of a canvas one. It wouldn't really help against arrows but it would turn any cutting hits into blunt but I have no idea how kevlar "works".

Like I don't know if it can stretch or how it forms to shapes. I've never handled it.

So it might not be super helpful with splitting issues.
