without yoga I probably would've killed myself after herniating two lumbar discs. I've incorporated it into my daily life and I feel great, only need like 3 or 4 moves and you can hit pretty much everything

i did it for a little bit because my GF is an instructor.

The point is will you be still able to ATG at 50 or at least touch your toes as well as she did.

Just do the lift itself with the bar and light weights to limber up. If you're talking actual Weightlifting then things like drop snatch, tall snatch, clean grip overhead squats, and powers from the hang with the bar will do the trick

I'm 50 and can put my palms on the floor with straight knees. It's because my lifts go through full range of motion, I do the Olympic lifts from the floor, and because I stretch (fairly) regularly after weight workouts.
Fat bitches love yoga b/c it redefines fitness. 200# at 5'5'' and breathes hard when climbing stairs but can do a split = "athletic" LOL
