I'm getting there.

Slowly but surly.

Bench is the only thing that is sputtering a bit, but I am noticeably stronger than last year.

The only thing I maxed was squat at 405 for just a rep.

Progressing well. I expect to hit 2pl8 bench by the end of May tops

You squat 275 plates?

He really likes squats, man.

I just maxed out my apartment's gym. I reached my goal of 200lb bench. I weigh 188 or so, I drink a lot of beer.

Today was a good day and I decided to try for 1000lb club.

>I drink a lot of beer
are you that guy from the current body threads who drinks old milwaukee and poses with a beer bottle

bench is the easiest of the big 4, apply yourselves

1/2/3/3.75

Holy shit i had no idea. I just got my 135 ohp. Wow this actually made me happy. So close lads.

Why risk dying? It's utterly illogical.

If you sneeze with 200lbs over your throats it will crush your throat and into your brain spine.

tfw cant bulk because im also a boxer and don't want to go past 155lbs

If I do I will have to cut even more for a fight and don't want to lose strength gains, so doing everything in my power to get stronk while gaining no weight

1/1.5/2.5/2

Because everyone has the same leverages and proportions and sports backgrounds(if any) that will help dictate which lifts someone excels at, right?

Why can't I fucking do deadlifts Veeky Forums? It's by far one of my worst lifts. On the other hand, I'm surprised how easy OHP has been, I already reached 1pl8 on it.

1 rep max in these categories

1pl8(135) Over Head Press
2pl8(225) Bench
3pl8(315) Squat
4pl8(405) Deadlift

Bar over mid foot, lean shins in, bend over the bar lining up your scapula with the bar, load posterior chain by keeping back tight, drive legs down through heels like doing leg press, pull at the same time while keeping neutral back, pull will be in a straight line.

I know to do all that, it just hasn't clicked with me yet for some reason. Back when I started, it seemed easy, and now for whatever reason I have to think about doing all that. Doesn't come naturally.

I've been working on the form for weeks, and it bothers me that I still can't get it right. Only today did I get to 295, and I somehow did the lift perfectly that one time. Couldn't do 305, even after I tried doing everything the same as before.

Are there lifts to help with DL? I've been doing front squats and romanian DLs to try and see some kind of improvement.

if you are having trouble at the pull off the floor do some deficit deadlifts. It'll get you used to pulling the weight you are used to through a longer range of motion. Also front squat won't help you with dl's as those are for your quads and abs as opposed to like back squat which is mostly posterior chain. Leg curls, reverse hypers and deficit deadlifts are your best bet if you don't like low bar squats. Anything that targets your lower back, glutes and hams.

SS for 3 months, 6'0" 172, up 12 lbs. I know im under achieving on the bench
3x5
OHP 100
bench 135
Squat 175
deadlift 225

Are you me?

Haven't heard of Deficit Deadlifts until now, will look more into those. I'm not sure if my gym has something for reverse hypers, but I'll have to double check.

Should I be also focusing on shit like farmer walks to help my arms out on the lift? I do feel like most of the problem is in my legs, but I know it's important to have that pull motion while keeping the chest up and back neutral.

18 months modified ss

80kg ohp
145kg bench
210 kg front squat
290 kg dead lift 300 soon...

Think of your arms and hands like a chain with hooks attached to them. You don't do the pull with your arms that's a surefire way to fuck something up in your arms. Farmers walks are good for grip work and strengthening your upper back if you're having problems keeping them from rounding. Deficit deadlifts is just the same thing but you elevate yourself an inch or two. Best way is to just stand on 1-2 plates or if you have a deadlift platform at the gym that has one of those areas in front of the power rack to do them. Also if you're having problems with pulling from around the knees and up do some heavy rack pulls by placing it at the height the pull becomes difficult and perform the pull from there.

If having grip issues do farmers walks and try hanging from a bar and holding it for as long as you can. Do that on a separate day from heavy pulls. I like to do stuff like that once a week on like saturday if I lift m/w/f.

diddlylift was the easiest for me

If true that's pretty insane. How much do you weight?

I was nearing 2/3/4/5 couple of years ago but since then I have fluctuated in weight so I'm now like 1,5/2,5/3/5. I'm 20 lbs lighter now though and strenght is not my only goal anymore.

84kg, nobody ever believes me until they see it

This thread goes in the trash.

why would anyone lie on an anonymous kamchatkan yo-yo enthusiast board?

To feel better about themselves

Studies have proven that people will lie anonymously for this reason, I guess it's like having a fantasy or something

95/140/185/235

My squats and DLs are low because I was fucking around on Leg Press after an injury instead of going right back at it. Been lifting for about 10 months, but 95% of that has been on a 1500/day cut. Been bulking for close to a month now.

Is it reasonable to hope to reach 1/2/3/4 on SS?

I've already reached 1/2 OHP/BP for reps, even went beyond it. My deadlift and squat are a lot worse tho since I already look like a t-rex and only squat and deadlift once a week because of it.

5-rep maxes:
45kg OHP
75kg Bench
115kg Squat
145kg Deadlift
So I'm like 75 - 80% of 1/2/3/4, but I also turned 40 in March so I progress sloooowly. I actually seitched from Stronglifts to Madcow not because the weights above are anywhere near 'intermediate' but because I need to progress slower.

40 yr old body is funny. If you're in shape you can do all the things you did at 20, but injury is easier and even ordinary recovery takes longer. On the plus side if you kept yourself in shape you're WAY ahead of most men your own age.

>OHP 145lb strict
>bench 240lb close grip
>deadlift 340 lb
>squat 260 lb

I have only been training 6 months

This is a very general tip but make sure you're gripping it properly. If you start the pull but the bar slips in your hands before coming off the ground then it'll mess your form up.
