Oh it the most underwhelming American monument can't quite remember the name it's so underwhelming

Childhood is idolizing the Alamo.
Adulthood is realizing Santa Anna's life was far more interesting.

>Tfw only a 20 minute drive away from her
Feels amazing

>when they steal the figurines

every time

Alway rember

where is that from?

A show people only watched because the JUST meme was its zenith and Brendan Fraser was in it

I lived in the city where its located for 9 years. Remembered it thousands of times

Oh yeah, and apparently Santa Anna was being played by a French actor...

shut the fuck up, that’s just the chapel part

>He doesn't remember the Rodeo

I remember, I remember!

REMEMBER ELMO!

Texian genocide best day of my life.

Mexico was winning due to numbers until the USA actually sent troops and trained the Texians and beat Santa Anna and humilliate him

Don’t forget they were beaten while they were taking a siesta
And they’ve yet to escape the stereotype of the lazy mexican

He was a criollo, not mestizo. Why can't he be played by a French guy?

Which is weird considering they're consistently one of the hardest working nations and even here in the states aren't known for taking "lazy" jobs.

I don't think the USA ever sent professional troops, but there were quite a few volunteers pouring in to take advantage of the Texan free state and the ensuing land grab. The Alamo was a phyrric victory for Mexico and probably caused more harm than good since it became a huge rallying point.
